CITIZEN is proud to continue, for the fourth year, a scholarship program to support academic achievement throughout the country. The company presents a cash award to 25 students in the U.S., based on the student’s academic accomplishment under the auspices of the National Merit Scholarship Program.
These awards, named the National Merit Citizen Watch Scholarships, are given to high school students graduating with the plan to attend a four year undergraduate college/university. Along with achieving excellent academic records, there is a preference for student recipients who were also members of their high school sponsored sports teams and other extracurricular activities. CITIZEN is proud to award a four year scholarship to these select students.
In addition to receiving this prestigious cash scholarship, each student is awarded with a CITIZEN timepiece and have their name featured in a national ad created by CITIZEN in the New York Times in the spring.
Internships within Citizen Watch Company of America will also be offered to the winners, as well as other company opportunities at events during the year.
