Bought this watch back in march 2020 and paid top dollar for it with no regrets, apart from the tiny weeny date window, this watch is perfect for all occasions and will last a lifetime.
Thoroughly enjoy this handsome solar watch. As others have stated, the date window is too small to be useful in dim, or worse, light or when viewing at an angle. Like the second hand with a different color scheme. Using a NATO strap; bracelet came in wrong size when using their print template.
This is a great everyday watch, especially if you live in an area of temperature extremes like I do. I like that the dial is very legible at a glance, which gives it a modern field watch vibe. It is a larger, heavier watch that might not work well on small wrists. The monocoque case and super titanium coating makes it tough and the overall design is attractive. What prevents the watch from getting five stars is the very small, almost useless date window and the fact that it runs faster than my other Citizen Eco Drive watches. Otherwise, if you're looking for a tough watch that's attractive and works for daily wear in the office, as well as for recreational activities after hours, this could be right for you.
I buy this 3 day ago and use it all day long like any other ,citizen watch and it is not so hard either if you hit the case set it makes excellent watch but the resisrance is exaggeratedit is not like that
This is well built, rugged and durable watch. It might be a bit heavy for some, but that's usually what you get as a trade off for the durability. If it were made in titanium as some wish, it wouldn't be as durable. Even with the scratch resistant coating, it will scratch if scraped on rock or a stone wall. I doubt either are heat treated to 41 HRC for the ti, nor in the 51 or 60s for steel, but steel is easier to get that hard. I bought this to wear for work since at times we have to physically intervene with violent residents and didn't want to beat up my other watches. The only thing I sort of don't like is the coating on the case and bracelet. I'd prefer it were just heat treated to a higher hardness instead of their titanium coating. As I said, everything will scratch, especially a watch made to be a "tough" use watch. Plain stainless can have most scratches polished out. With the coating, it won't be possible unless all of it is removed. That's the only thing that keeps me from giving that fifth star.
1)keeps very good time: about 5 seconds fast a month ( much better than most quartz watches at this price range.Have worn the watch for almost 2 months & set it to NIST & checked every week. 2) a tad heavy on the wrist but not intolerable (have a 6 &3/4 inch wrist & was hesitant to purchase because of this, but it wears well even on a smaller wrist) 3) very easy to read for these tired old eyes.Lume fairly good- lasts about 5 or 6 hours. 4)a little lackluster since it appears to have a matte finish 5) pins in the band are not tight enough; hopefully they wont give out at some crucial point in time. However it made sizing easier. 6) all in all a very fine & sturdy piece of craftsmanship that should last for many years & require no servicing.
How do I keep it working? Often in the morning I see it has stopped during the night.
Have had this watch about six months. I only take it off when I sleep or in the shower. I work outside using a chain saw, and other tough chores around my property and this thing is solid and never misses a second. I like minimalist watches so I love the simplicity of the dial. I don't like date windows and on this watch(or any watch I own) it is so small I can't read it anyway so for me it is perfect. If you have to have a date window I would not recommend this watch due to its tiny window and I mean tiny.Otherwise a great watch and well worth the money. Final comment. This is a heavy watch. If you like a lighter watch I would get the Citizen Titanium which I also own and it is almost as light as a feather.
