Very comfortable watch to wear every day and the large numbers are easy to read
I love this watch it's perfect for my needs. It is my fourth Citizen watch. I wear them with pride
I have 3 echo drives. The others are titanium. This one is a bigger piece, and I'm not a big watch guy. But this one is nice. The canvas strap in drab, and its expedition theme is spot on. This is the watch Patton would have worn. If he didn't know it's made in Japan. It's fast my #2 behind my Shinola Runwell.
This watch has a unique design that I really like. The over-sized numbers offset with the green strap make it a great casual wear. I find the strap to be very comfortable and durable; I quite often wear this model when out mountain biking and the stand out design of the hand and dial make it perfect for catching the time at a quick-glance.
Love this watch, but… There is one major drawback for me. And that is the lume is only on the hands and 4 main pips (12, 3, 6, and 9) and not the numbers. Additionally, the hands are slim and the pips small dots, which do not hold the lume all night. I should have read the description closer before purchasing. In the pictures on the Citizen site, one would assume the numbers are lumed because of their color. Other models with a similar look have lumed numbers. The Garrison does not, and there were no night shot images of the watch to clarify this. At any rate, although slightly disappointed, I'll still enjoy wearing the watch, but will be looking for another model that has fatter hands and lume on the numbers.
I am quite pleased with this watch and in the short time I've had it it's functioned well. My only down side with the watch is the band. It is on last hole and is still fairly tight on my wrist. I'm hoping that perhaps it will "Break In" and become more flexible and become a little more comfortable. If anyone has any tips on how to speed this process let me know. Also, is there a "Bracelet" style band that would fit it? That's my only gripe and it's tiny.
I looked at alot of watches before deciding on this one. After a week of having it on my wrist I believe I made a solid choice. A good value for my money. Good looks, rugged enough for my lifestyle. Time will tell how it holds up, I expect we shall get along just fine.
The band is almost to small for my wrist other than that a fine solid nice looking watch
great watch, small band. will not fit a mans wrist.
