Bulgari Beater?

I have a modest watch collection and I prefer mechanical watches, so this was an unusual purchase for me. I am drawn to interesting dials and technical innovations, a mix of art and engineering. The production of a super-thin solar powered watch fascinated me. Positive: not only is the watch itself super thin, so is the very comfortable bracelet. Watch wears well, there's no shirt the Eco-Drive One can't tuck under. Simple looking but stylish dress watch. Readability is good. Bracelet sizing can be ordered from Citizen, a real plus that more watch companies should offer. Neutral: no second hand, but not a big loss. No date, which many prefer anyway for looks and simplicity. Negatives: accuracy seems a little off at first; time keeping benefits from a more substantial charge. Crown is miniature, which fits the thinness ambience but seems fragile. Bezel screw details are not luxury. Except for the noon indice, the rest are printed. Hands, like the screws and crown, are a bit toy-like. Overall, finish and details could be better. But those nits are so small that they don't intrude on the pleasure of wearing the watch. Is it a Bulgari Octo beater? No of course not, Bulgari's cost five or six times more to start, have marvelous in-house mechanical movements and have world-class finishing and detail. But considering it's price, the Eco-Drive One is darn good.

Finest watch I've ever owned!

I've been wearing my ultra-thin Eco-Drive One for a couple of months now and have come to the conclusion that it's hands down the most comfortable, accurate and stylish watch in my collection. From the thinness of the case to the smooth and supple feel of the steel link bracelet it almost feels as thin as my skin. I love it and am considering the model with the rose accented bezel. Steel bracelet or the exotic skin strap? That is the question that I need to answer for myself! I recommend this timepiece to anyone considering a watch for themselves or a gift to that special man in their life.
