I bought the watch on-line from Macy's in December 2023 and loved it from day one. The look and feel of the watch are great. However, within the first year the stitching of the band started to fray. I questioned the quality of the leather but I solved that by ordering a high-quality, full-grain leather band. I also had the misfortune of dropping the watch on my tile bathroom floor in March 2026 and had to have the crystal and H500 movement replaced (for the chronograph function, only). It's a tough watch but not indestructible.
This is a bold, attractive watch. Here are the issues to be aware of: - Bezel is fixed, does not rotate, so cannot be used for tracking time - Second hand, which only operated during a timing operation, is EXTREMELY hard to see. Way too little contrast with the black face. - Date window hides down in a hollow so is too dim to see except in fairly bright light.
Great looking watch. Sport casual is a perfect name for it. In office or on a hike. Band is no good though, feels like foam pleather...
Great watch. Love it. Amazing Citizen product as usual (I have several Citizen watches and definitely this one is part of the rotation). Only downside is that the day in the little calendar window is challenging to see (specially for an old guy like me). Overall, you can beat the price and the quality Eco-Drive system is a game changer. Great for weekends and formal meetings.
Incredibly reliable, extremely accurate and beautiful at sight
My wife picked it up as a Christmas gift last year. Been almost a year of daily wear with no scratches The strap is starting it get that great wear look. I have been exclusively wearing Citizen watchs for many years with no regrets on any in my little collection.
is the secondhand correct and how can I fix it? The secondhand does not lineup on the second. It’s lining up just before each second and I don’t like it.
I purchased this watch unexpectedly due to it’s low cost and looks. My old watch is by no means as nice but has lasted 10 years before the battery died and leather strap separated itself from the watch. I was a little hesitant to purchase as I was not sure I wanted to get another leather strap. When I realized how thick this strap was, I decided to go ahead as it is almost twice as thick as my old one. The color of the strap is especially nice. The weight of this watch is perfect without being too heavy and posing a discomfort on my wrist as it would lean forward. A nice, easy to read dial and great warranty sealed the deal. Highly recommended!
I love love this Watch, the look is awesome. If they would have it other colors it would be great.
My mother had gotten me this watch as a gift for a birthday two years ago. I only had it for a year before I lost it in Mexico on a family trip and I was so torn up about it. I knew I had to find it somehow, lo-and-behold, it was here on the Citizen website that I was reunited with it. I even threw on the old leather straps that I had when I had gotten it serviced to give it that orginal feeling I had when I got it. It truly is a beautiful watch to admire, even more a grandeur feeling to have on the wrist. At 45 mm, it's no small watch. I take a huge liking to this. I want to know I have a reliable, "heavy watch feeling" on my wrist knowing that it makes a statement as both a timepiece and as a fantatic accessory item to have on. As mentioned above, the leather straps, can get worn in making it easier (or tougher depending on how you look at it) to feed through the leather loops. This really gives it a "rugged" feel, but I definitely am worried about it cracking and getting old over time; (as with all leather if it's not treated) especially with how big the watch is and feels. If you are a fan of busy watch faces, this is definitely one to have!
