Do not buy from Walmart

I like this watch and would give it 5 stars. It is one star short based on the buying experience. I purchased the watch on Walmart.com based on the competitive price offered. Being a little skeptical, I communicated with Citizen and asked if Walmart was an authorized Citizen seller. Their response was "yes" but make sure it is not sourced from the 3rd party seller. Well...I saw some links on Walmart's site that listed 3rd party sellers but chose the one that didn't, assuming it was sourced directly from Walmart. When I picked the watch up, the associate retrieving it for me said I can return it if there were any problems. I asked the Jewelry Manager if she would size it for me and said she couldn't. After writing a review expressing my displeasure, a Walmart.com "manager" called me telling me they couldn't size it because it WAS sourced from a third party (from Brooklyn, N.Y.) and they didn't want to be responsible if they damaged the watch. Surprisingly, they now said that the watch would NOT be returnable to Walmart due to the 3rd party sourcing (contrary to what the associate said when I picked it up). This has gotten to be way too much hassle and I would not recommend purchasing from Walmart.

A watch with the power of the sun

This watch is amazing. The battery recharges ftom the sun. It is accurate and has several functions. On the other hand it is a little cmplicatd tp set up and the chrono functions are not as quick to be used as in traditional watches.

one weakness

I purchased the watch several years ago and love it. Never have to wind or replace a battery. It is accurate, rugged and easy to read. However the functions are hard and complicated (If you want a stop watch you have to jump through circles to get it to do this feature. By the time you do, what you are timing is over. Plus you can not leave it in stop watch mode, it will not sync the time at night).
