If you bend the leather, you will see ridges develop which is a sign of not good quality leather, kind of like when you buy a cheap belt at Walmart or Target. You get what you pay for. Sadly the band is proprietary to Citizen and hopefully they sell replacements since the gold latch has an indent into the the band which is not typical of most leather band replacements. Very surprised with Citizen quality. I have a Bulova Classic Rose Gold with a brown leather croc band that has lasted me with no sign of wear for 6 years. I hope this band with last but I doubt it.

It was the perfect watch for me. My father had a similar one previously by Citizen. Black watch face, no numbers.
This is a great way to select and purchase your Citizen watch at a significant discount. Fast service and one of my favorite time pieces. The Axiom with black leather band and gold tone stainless steel is exactly what I was looking for.

Excellent watch - I love the minimalistic look and the eco-drive. I also purchased an after market strap saver to mark the bezel. I complete the look and protects the strap. Still looking like new after 5 years.
