This watch is a classic. I replaced my over priced and high maintenance TAG Heuer with this Eco-Drive Garrison and will never look back. High quality, heavy weight, sleek looks and never needs a battery (which btw costs hundreds annually for the TAG).
I’m in love with this watch and purchased it directly from Citizen. I have two minor details I’m not crazy about. The first is that all 3 of my Citizen watches including this one show micro abrasions easily that really show in contrast to the highly polished watch; especially around the bezel. The second criticism is specific to my Garrison AW0050-82E: the illumination on the arms and dial leave a lot to be desired. It’s not very bright and doesn’t seem to retain its glow for very long. I was a little disappointed about this. All in all the best watch I could find in this style for this price and pairs nicely with a leather NATO style watch band.
This is a great time piece! I wanted an echo-drive basic watch, that keeps accurate time and shows the day and date. This watch does all of that! Very happy with it! This is my second Citizen Echo-Drive watch. This new Chandler replaces my 16 years old Echo-Drive, which is still keeping accurate time! Just needed a new piece on my wrist! You can't go wrong with the great quality of a Citizen watch!
I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. As I was looking for a new watch I was dismayed that the majority of watches have these oversized and busy faces. Dials, hands, and numbers all over the place. Then I found this watch. The clean and simple face were a relief to see and the oversize numbers give it just a retro feel without taking away its class. I love it.
Finially! I found just the watch I was looking for. Classy stainless steele watch with large arabic numbers, day of week, day of month. The bonus was Citizen's EcoDrive, which I choose over Seiko brand because of it's sleek look, and better reputation for solar watches. Some review's I have read on eco drive watches have users reporting life of over 10 years and counting on battery life. It's much more efficient to have solar than wasting time, resources, to change a watch battery every few years. Excellent warantee too!
This is my 7th Citizen watch to the collection. Would buy more, if more watches had the 12 and 24 hour number on the face. Something to consider Citizen in the future. Excellent product.
