I bought this watch as a gift for my husband on our wedding day, he loved it! This is his first citizen watch, and it wont be the last!
I have always liked watches and usually had 3-4 to choose from. Mostly quartz. I recently read a forum about the low maintenance of eco-drive. After shopping around I settled on this. I am really glad I did cause I thought about spending double the cost on an automatic. After initial sunlight charge it’s been functioning as normal. My only complaint is I wish the illumination was better. This is good for about an hour or two in darkness. I have looked into other citizen models that have better lume and will definitely expand on eco-drives. This watch with the bracelet leans a little more to the dressy side which is what I need for business casual. For something more rugged I would look at the Promaster Dive.
I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas. He specifically wanted a gunmetal gray watch and, after hours of scrolling all the brands, this one seemed perfect. When I received it, the lid of the Citizen box was scuffed and dirty. Upon inspecting the watch, the piece that shows the day is written in French, which is odd considering I bought it off the Citizen’s US website. I thought this watch was going to be a sure thing for Christmas, but it fell short.
Looks twice as nice in person. Eco-Drive is fantastic. Accuracy is great. Recommend buying a sizing tool so you can size it yourself. If you have Citizen size it, add a 1/4 to 1/2 inch for comfort. There is one micro adjustment to make it slightly tighter without removing a link.
