Awful band, Good watch

I bought this watch 10 days ago and have cursed it every time I put it on. The watch is fine but the silicon(?) strap is very poor. It has too much friction and is very hard to afix to your wrist in one try, the bands that hold the end of the strap down slide down the band and cannot be moved into place without taking the watch off!!

Valentines Day Gift

Was a gift for my husband for V-Day. He already has 5 Citizen Eco Drive watches. He loves that they never need batteries. Will continue to by Citizen Eco Drive watches, but not from your website. I paid $285.00 for this watch and could of gotten it at Macy's for $180.00. Was disappointed and wanted to return it, but my husband wanted to keep it. Also disappointed that we couldn't take it back to the Citizen Watch store here at the Outlet Malls. Was trying to save you money from shipping it back. Such a shame. I will probably buy another Citizen Watch from you. I just won't be directly from your website again. Would like to say that the people at the Outlet Mall were quite friendly and were understanding. I think they felt bad that they couldn't take the watch back.

Band-Junk Dries Out Breaks; Watch Itself-Very Good

I have now replaced the costly 'rubber' band 3 times. In the most recent failure, the band simply dried out and the weight of the watch caused it to break at the buckle. These bands are simply junk. If I had only encountered a problem with the original band I would, have considered it a fluke, but after 3 successive failures one would think the problem is pervasive and he design needs to be reconsidered. Unfortunately my wife purchased a similar blue watch for me with the same band. I'm hesitant to even wear it for fear it will break as well. While I have at least a half dozen Citizen watches, I will never purchase another with a band made of rubber...and when I say costly, I mean the replacement bands can cost nearly $100 when purchased from watch repair shops - this was several year ago and I do not know the current cost. FYI, I really like Citizen watches and will continue to purchase them, but never one with a rubber band.
