Messed up engraving, bad customer service

Ordered this Mandalorian Citizen watch as a birthday gift for my son and it arrived with the case back engraving upside down and crooked — very noticeable and unacceptable for a watch at this price point. Customer service was just as disappointing. After long wait times and a callback, I was told this is “how it comes from the manufacturer,” which is hard to believe given how obviously misaligned it is compared to the product photos. The only options offered were: Return it for a refund (no replacement available), or Send a brand new watch in for repair with a 30–45 day turnaround (either paying myself or sending it back to Citizen first). Being told to repair a brand-new product instead of replacing it is ridiculous, especially when it was meant to be a time-sensitive gift. Overall, poor quality control and even worse customer service. I would not recommend purchasing this watch.
