This is a very nice looking watch and I enjoyed the strap once I got it situated just right. However, the lines on the face (that I assume are the cells that power the watch) catch light and reflect it in an odd way which made it difficult to read unless you held the watch right up to your face and got it just right. Also, it’s the same weight as another Eco Drive I have but, this one felt extremely heavy on my wrist. Ended up returning this watch.
I recently purchased a number of citizen solar watches for both men and women. All of them run fast by around 3 or 4 seconds per month at room temperature. This watch is exceptional except the end of the watch band became frayed in less than a week of wear. And the frayed end prevented it from being worn. So what I did was coat the frayed end in some glue called Goop.. and after it dried the watch is wearable again. It would be welcomed if they provided more watches with metal bracelets.
Larger watch face, but design of the band doesn’t allow stem to dig into my hand while bending wrist back, this is an inherent issue with some of my other watches. The large display with contrasting blue background make the watch easy to read. The luminescent hands and number marks are a lovely light blue color that keeps the luminosity into the middle of the night..at least til 2:37 AM anyway.
Got this watch about 2 weeks ago. I already have the citizen promaster tough eco-drive. Both are great quality. This watch looks elegant enough to dress up and casual enough for golf or day to day. Although the power reserve will almost never move depending on how you wear it, still cool to have that feature. Perfect size both on the wrist and thickness (i have 6.5 in wrist). Overall even though it is less than half the price of my other citizen watch, I actually like the look better
A great value, from a watch guy who usually spends a lot more. I would give is an A-minus only because the vertical lines embedded in the crystal that are a bit distracting.
