Good looking watch overall, a little chunky for the case size. Also the band's quality makes the watch look cheap. Watch band is very long, so for smaller wrists it will stick outside the wrist and over the watch glass. Asked for a shorted band, but Citizen was not able to provide an alternative shorter band.
I bought this as a gift for a family member, and I own several GMT watches myself. I generally love the eco-drive platform, especially as it's evolved to charge with any light (not just sunlight). The dial is easily readable and the blue color is cool and distinctive. The nato strap is comfortable and appears to be durable/high quality. My only complaint and the reason for knocking off one star is that the GMT mechanism does not allow for moving the hour hand backwards, only forward. So if you are traveling from a later to an earlier time zone, you have no choice but to go through a full rotation of the hour hand, which means you then are off on the date by one day, requiring going through the whole month to set it correctly. Is it a huge deal for a relatively inexpensive watch? Hardly, but it seems like something that could easily be and should have been addressed in the design and function of the movement at any price point.
So I have mixed feelings on this watch. There’s something about it that just looks…. Cheap? Maybe I’m just not used to domed crystal watches is all, I’m not sure. I also wasn’t expecting it to be so thick… it’s not a thin watch even compared to a smart watch. The good things, it does have a screw-down-crown There is Zero reflection from the face The crown feels substantial and has very smooth control of the hands. Very clear and easy to read. I struggled to decide if I liked this watch at first, but the more I wear it the more i liked it. I’m mostly keeping it due to the utilitarian designs, (I needed a screw down crown as I have bent the crown on 2 other citizen watches) and the sapphire crystal is wonderful. I would have preferred a watch without the textured face, and a color option of green would have been fantastic. I would love to see a garrison with a more protected screw-down-crown… that’s what I would have preferred, but this seems fairly close…
Really liked the dial color and texture, markers are clean and legible while allowing the hands to exist with the yellow GMT hand comfortably. Screw down crown operates smoothly and the bezel shares the space well. Watch wears a bit smaller than the size indicates. The strap is LONG! I trimmed it down as the overhang on my 6.5" wrist was significant.
This is a pretty cool watch. It's very easy to read and the lume is fantastic. It's a bit tricky to set it and I don't see easy instructions on the webpage but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm not a constant world traveler so it's mostly "set and forget" for me, but if I traveled a lot I'd probably figure out how to easily set it. It's set up so that you set the main dial for the "new" time zone you're in and leave the GMT hand at your "home" time zone. But I rarely travel so I have it set the opposite, which makes it a tad bit trickier to set. My only grip is the price (although you do get a great watch that is very durable and cool-looking) and mostly the bland watch strap it comes with. But I love the curved sapphire crystal (I'm really hard on watches and scratch mineral crystals almost immediately) and the really legible dial, so I would buy it again. I just bought a bunch of aftermarket straps that I can easily swap out to suit my mood. I would definitely buy this watch again.
After seeing this watch on a YouTube review I began doing of my own. It turns out to be a fantastic GADA watch. The blue dial is beautiful and the loom fantastic. I set the watch 5 days ago and it's still on to the second. It was on sale for 25% off for Fathers Day. Will keep it forever. My first Citizen to my collection, definitely not the last. Great value, set and forget. Would look even better on a black rubber strap.
My first Citizen purchase. I needed a legible GMT watch for work-related reasons and this model answered the mail perfectly. Only ding is the flimsy NATO strap that was also a bit too long due to my small wrist. Fixed problem by getting another band which color perfectly matches the dial. Very happy with purchase.
Purchased the Citizen Pro-Master #BN0191-55L after much consideration. I measured the intended recipients wrist using the Citizen sizing guide/tool, and had the factory size the band. Upon receipt of the watch, the watch was rather tight fitting on the intended recipients wrist despite the wrist measurement being 1/8” less than the size ordered. The micro adjustments were at their max position. Decided to return the watch vs trying to make it fit. Beautiful timepiece, nothing negative other than the watch with bracelet didn’t fit. Ordered a different Citizen watch in hopes of a better fit.
This is a really fun look with blue face and big luminous numbers. It's a tool watch, pilot watch, and more. Quartz movement very accurate over the few days I've had it, and with a sapphire crystal should be robust. Not wild about the NATO strap, but easily changed. Memorial Day sale made it a great value.
