Garrison Field Watch

Bought this on sale. NOTE: Dial numbers or markers are NOT luminous at night, only the hands. Had I known this I would NOT have bought it. I need a very good luminous watch for night work (ferry captain) Otherwise it's an OK watch.

Watch that keeps time

The band is not flexible and the dial does not glow in the dark. Instead about 1/8 of the face glows but not to tell time. No I would not buy it again!

Wonderful face & strap; weak glow, date window

Worn continuously for about 2 months. Wanted large face with very easy to read numbers and hands. The watch does not disappoint here. Glass or sapphire top seems very good… no scratches after constant wear including during physical work. The band is a work of art. I have accidentally worn it during showers. No problem…it dries out beautiful whether or not it was soaped. First weakness: hands do no glow all night. They’re great after you turn lights off but not visible at all in darkness after a couple of hours. Finally, the date window: I assumed certain reviewers were whining when they said it is almost worthless. Unfortunately, they were correct. Lighting conditions and angles must be perfect to read the date. Unlike reading the time, which requires just a split second glance, you must work hard to read the date. Overall: great watch with two significant opportunities for improvement.

Date barely visible

Nice watch a bit overpriced and with a drawback: date is barely visible and should have been magnified.
