This is my second Citizen Eco-Drive watch. I was looking for another one that could serve as an outdoor/everyday watch and I have come to discover field watches. The face is easy to read, even when viewed at an angle, with a nice contrast of white arabic numerals on the black face. The day/date window is likewise easy to read. The watch feels substantial without feeling too heavy. The Eco-Drive solar power is a great feature. The lume on the hands and numerals is also quality, as it lasts though the night to the morning hours. An area for improvement would be the band, as it is stiff and the spacing of the holes on the band leave it just a little too loose or a little too tight. I may switch out to a different band in the future. Overall I am happy with this purchase and I trust that this watch should last for years as my other Citizen has lasted many years.

Love this watch. Simple, easy to read, nothing wasted on extras. Size is perfect to stay out of the way as you work while wearing. Day calendar stays accurate without having to constantly adjust each depending on setting. Cons: my only real issue is the band. The size holes are gaped with robust rivets. This creates significant sizing changes which each adjustment and I’m in between sizes. Small concern is that the luminescence on the numbers can fade and become difficult to read at night. Would buy again! Would recommend for a great working watch.
Great Weekend Watch! Looks ruggedly stylish with a military influence. Definitely a must have. I highly recommend this watch. Well worth the price!
My watch size 37mm to 40mm for my wrist size. This watch is much nicer than the photos. I but a black leather band on it. Looks sharp. Works great on the time.
Love the look of this watch, the only thing I changed was the strap. I put on an orange crown and caliber and it has been a great summer watch.
Smaller face than I expected. But the watch is slick and fits every occasion. Keeps time perfectly and I love the look.
This watch is perfect. I’m a smaller framed guy with small wrists. This watch is great it’s not big or too small it checks all the boxes for durability and sustainability. I’m coming from 7 years of Apple Watches and this is my first REAL watch and I honestly say I’ll never go back to touch watches.

I use heavy equipment that vibrates my hands and arms and all the other watches I mentioned were a bit on the heavy side. The Citizen Chandler is perfect. Lightweight and comfortable, this watch has stood up to all the vibrations from the equipment, has been through the mud, the rocks, the heat, humidity, and all that the weather can throw at it and it still performs and looks great. I can’t think of a more perfect watch! It is very easy to read and the lume is amazing at night; lasting until daylight. Forget all the smartwatches with all their bells and whistles along with constant charging. No battery needed here, just a light source. You will not be disappointed in this watch.

Perfect size, beautiful yet simple finish. Over night lume, very legible all around. Reliable, accurate, and solar. Can't beat that, plus great customer service by the Citizen team. Well done, thank you team.
I first bought this watch in 2008 and have worn it every day for the last twelve years without it ever missing a beat and it still looks great and works perfectly. I've never been a fan of the band but this watch goes from formal to casual with a band change. If I had one thing to change, it would be to have the hands a bit longer. This is the third one I've bought, this time for a good friend. Just a great everyday watch and the perfect size so you don't have to wear a manhole cover on your wrist like most men's watches these days.

What a great watch, purchased to have an everyday watch. Its built beautifully, the case and strap are sturdy and comfortable. This makes 3 eco drive watches i own now, and it's definitely my new favorite.
This watch has seen many changes in my life. I purchased it on my first overseas deployment with the military... 20 years and a family later, I still love this watch. The original band is long gone (I literally wore it out), but the watch never fails to keep time and the date. If you're wanting something simple and timeless, you've found it.... and yes, it still glows! I do miss the drab green band.

The design is so much more usable than any ladies watch, and the face is even smaller than some of the women's style eco-drives that Citizen makes. It's got a beautiful military style, and if you change up the band, it could look pretty sleek! As some other reviewers noted, the "eyelet" design around the band that's used to close/latch the clasp of the watch can be hit or miss. It fit my wrist perfectly, by chance. I can close it to the third hole from the actual time piece, about 6.5 inches. I would recommend searching online for an alternate band style, at 18mm, which is easy enough, I would think.

This is an excellent all-around wristwatch: solar powered, accurate, and good-looking it can serve as a "field" watch, or with an upgraded strap it definitely dresses up well. It's better looking in person than in a photo, with good proportions. The mix of brushed and polished surfaces works well, the red sweep-second hand stands out, the lume is useful, and the water resistance fills out the features list. All in all, this is a classic: it could be your only watch.

This beauty did not disappoint! Simple, functional, classic appearance, what more could you want from an everyday watch? Very satisfied with the Eco-Drive as well. Not a huge fan of my other mechanical watch batteries dying in storage.
I have worn this watch For several years now. I was looking for a good everyday field watch style, I was tired of always changing batteries, and this was perfect. The strap was a little too small for my wrists so put it on a nato strap which looks great.
I bought this because it has a classic look. I had been searching for an affordable time keeper, that could become a collectors item. It can compete with a Rolex and two Rolex wears reccomend it to me. I took a look, and I wasn't disappointed at all. I am taking to get it serviced water tested, crystal polished and a band change.
I've been wearing this for at least 5 years now. It's comfy, slim but thick enough to feel good, easy to read, perfect blend of stand-out and blend-in. I've received so many compliments on this watch, "I don't even wear watches and I like that". It just keeps getting better with age, even after the dives I've taken it on. Timeless piece and never needs batteries!
I changed the band with a 550 chord military style one
My wife surprised me with this watch for Christmas, and to be honest, I was really hoping she would get me an apple watch. After wearing this beauty for the past month, I haven't even thought about wanting an apple watch. Weird, I know, but it's the truth. This has style and simplicity that is unmatched. I did end up swapping out the band for a silicone band so I could wear it in the water and not have a soggy band. The stock band is nice, and will probably switch it back and forth depending on the occasion.
Comfortable, great looking, no hassle watch. It's comfortable to wear and is a beautiful timepiece. The Eco-Drive makes this watch a great value.

Within a couple of months of purchasing this watch, the crown pulled completely out of the watch. This happened when I tried to reset the date. I sent the watch in to get it repaired...assuming warranty would cover this. I just received a bill for $76.00 for repair of the watch. Over $200.00 for a watch that only lasted two months.
I bought this watch around 15 years ago. It reminds me of my favorite IWC watch, but about $5,000 and 2mm less. So it fits my wrist and my budget. 3 years ago I moved, and lost it in one of the boxes, which went into storage. I have just pulled it out again and wondered if it would still work. I placed it on a sunny ledge, and magically, it is ticking again! 48 hours later and it is still keeping time perfectly! I am elated!!!!!

This watch is perfect but I hate to admit i lost it. I took it off to change a headlight i and I haven't seen it since. I bought around 7 months ago. leaveing a happy ending I will get a new one for Christmas.

Like the watch: however, I would prefer the day indication in English rather than Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. I ordered the watch and have always lived in the USA. I would like to change the day indicator to English if possible.

That's right, I talk to myself while strolling through shops, shopping for 'The Gift'... About to call it a day, I check my watch knowing it quietly keeps perfect time... That's when my brain clicked in gear - 'My Citizen keeps perfect time - Eco-Drive just keeps tick-tick-tick'n'...Hey! The Husband, my sweetheart, put this totally fantastic watch on my wrist!" - I know I'm thinking the same thinking: 'where's this Gal's go'n with this review? I know, you know how memories are? Holy Merd, it's been eight (8) months, takes a minute or two, remembering and writing a true review - Woosh! Life, you live it. You watch the time, it goes slow, you live it, time goes by fast. Anyway, I realized I've stopped walking, do the check the 'Mall' compass and realize that I'm looking through a store front window displaying Men's Citizen watches. And it's registered for Certified Citizen's watch repair, and jewelry? I'm in! Huh, I swear timing is everything. Yup, you guessed it... My Husband loves his Citizen Weekender Garrison Field Watch! I actually surprised him, and he loves the watch! I love him. So, he wears the watch 24/7 for over a week, we're talking surfing; swimming, more surfing, showering etcetera, a Harley ride or three; life is good. Then, he mentions that he'd like to change out the watchband. He'd like the same but a longer strap, the Man knows what he wants (I like that) - fine by me - I've done the same thing many times. Sometime later that week, we hit the Mall, destination is the Citizen store. Okay. The store clerk helps (NOT!) as she states there's no option. WTH? There is NO other band. I was about to wind her clock, ring her bell...Oh wait a second, that was then, this is now. The main event here is to praise Citizens fine workmanship. The Men's Eco-Drive Weekender Garrison Field Watch in Stainless Steel is not only a handsome watch, but also a beauty. I highly recommend this watch. That beauty is what brought me to the Citizen.com site. First to leave a fun review; to let Citizen know how cool the watch is and knowing when it's time to stop wasting time. I have faith there's a watchband that fits the bezel size and my Husbands wrist size. It's been keeping time sitting in the box in-between Eco-Drive Sunbaths. Maybe I'll not find a wristband (doubtful that I won't succeed) ... I will take the time, because like a Citizen watch... I too am a Citizen, one that stays in style as style is absolutely timeless. Did I mention I love Citizen watches? The Eco-Drive just is sweet.... I almost forget a certain Taghuer - Almost. Did I forgot to mention that I just love watches.
