This watch was exactly what I was looking for. No batteries, no fuss. Glows in the dark good enough, obviously it is no 500+ dollar tritium but it is good enough for land nav in the forest at night. First day I got the watch I scraped it on concrete...youd have to look real close to see the scratch now. It tells time, too, that is an added bonus. The only con I have is not the watch but the strap. It is a tad uncomfortable for someone with larger wrists (6'1" athletic build). Not enough to get another band, but I definitely notice it now and then.
mkOn Have 3 citizen watches and though beautiful, the garrison Is my EDC - has everthing I need! would like to see atomic time keeping, love the large numbers and 24 hour clock, Just, a bit larger on the day and date!
I gave this watch to my wife over a year ago. She loved the look and the fact that it never would need a battery as light powered it. One day after taking it off for a massage she was upset that she had lost it. She loved that watch. Feeling her panic and unbeknownst to her I ordered her another to replace it. Once again a smile came to her face.
Never needs a battery. Keeps time. Looks great. I wear mine every day. Yes, you'll want to swap out the band. Just get a nice cheap nato band and youll be happy. great gift for a young person who cant afford to replace a battery.
