Got my first Citizen eco-drive watch nearly 10 years ago--I absolutely love it! I have had to replace the band three times but other than that it has served me very well. Just got this one for my husband for our anniversary, hoping it makes the long term as well as mine has. :)
These Garrison is rugged, tough, and reliable. As a park ranger, mine has been banged around inside engine compartments, submerged in swamps, rattled and shaken by all manner of power tools, slapped by twigs & branches at high speed (ATV on the trails), exposed to heat and humidity for extended periods, and pelted by sand, gravel, and other debris thrown at high speeds by powerful weed wackers. It’s not immortal or indestructible but it’s pretty darn close. After over TEN YEARS of hard use, the crystal is scratched, pitted, and chipped (the dial is still perfectly legible and the watch is still water tight!) and I’ve had to replace the band twice… see pictures. You won’t find a longer lasting, tougher watch for this price! Buy it, it won’t let you down.
Perfect fit, awesome looking watch. My wife said it's her favorite one I've got.
Very happy with the watch.

The watch’s military style exudes a rugged charm that is both functional and fashionable. The Eco-Drive technology ensures that the watch is always charged, harnessing the power of light for an eco-friendly energy source. Overall, the Garrison model is a testament to Citizen’s commitment to excellence, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate accuracy, style, and sustainability. A truly satisfying timepiece for everyday wear.
I've had the watch several years, maybe 10??? I have at least 10 watches (including this one that I bought for $100, that's how long I've had it). This one sat in a drawer for several months. Forgot it was there. When I found it, it was dead. I sat it in my window and forgot about it. Found it last week. Been wearing it ever since. Set it to the Atomic clock. Hasn't missed a second.
This was my first over $100 watch. I do a lot of outdoorsy activities. And I wanted a watch that was durable, and I wouldn't have to ever worry about it running out of battery or if I didn't wear it for 3 days. It's light, comfortable. I've had it 6 months and it looks brand new. I keep looking at other watches. Especially for nicer looking events, but I really just like this one. There's nothing I don't like about it.
I bought this watch in 2018, I wore it for a few months and then my father saw it and commented on it. I left it with him(in Texas) when I was going back home to Maryland. Fast fwd to 2021 and my father died, my mom gave the watch back to me and the band was missing. I want to replace the band but am having a hard time finding where to buy original style band.
Citizen Response
What a great simple watch, the dial size is not too big, just right
Bought this watch from a jewelry shop near me at the time back in 2017. This watch has been hit, scratched, banged about on Police Patrol! Yes, the strap got wet and rotted away after 1 year but hey, easily replaced by a "slip through nylon NATO strap"-no big deal. Retired with a newly purchased "thin blue line watch" making my "banged up vet" a back up. After all that abuse? This watch still keeps accurate time=Battle scrapes scratches and all! Wish I'd citizen sooner! A truly spartan watch! Sure wish Citizen would improve her "glow in the dark" features on all her watches but-that's what flashlights are for.
