The watch is just fine, great size, easy to read, keeps time as it should. The band however is terrible. It’s very stiff and clunky
Ordered this watch because it was beautiful and I wanted a rugged watch, easy to read and can get wet and muddy in the woods. Unfortunately, when it arrived I found it way too small, looks like a ladies watch. I emailed cust. svc and they said there is no larger size but there is a Garrison 43mm which is similar. I'm going to return this one and buy the other one. Still love my EcoDrive watches though!
I bought this same watch in about 2008 or so I guess. +/-$80. Never wore it til about 2015. I found it in my dresser one day after having it so long without ever wearing it, and it wasn't working, so I laid it on top with the intention I'd just throw it in the trash one day. A few weeks later, I looked at it and surprisingly after sitting in my dresser for all those years in the dark, it was alive. So from then on I wore it, u til about a uear ago. I went fishing and lost it, so I bought a new one, which I was extremely happy. Surprisingly I found the o e I thought I lost, so now I had 2 watches. One for work, and a nice one. Unfortunately the newest one I bought got for real lost, and I just purchased my third. So I now have a nice one and a work one again. While I was really impressed with the one I bought in 2008 coming alive after over 6 years in the dark, I'm not too happy with the last ones watch band. I think they changed suppliers and this one just doesn't feel the same. Its the canvas band, which on the other two i liked alot, tgis one tho, .....I don't like it. Maybe I'm wrong about changing suppliers, but I don't think I am. Other than that, I'm still wearing the one I got in 2008 at this very moment. Just a nice simple watch that does what it is supposed to do. I have had to change the band a couple times. I guess I'll never find one as good as the original.
I purchased this watch as I like a slightly smaller watch, in fact, I would really like the Garrison in a 35-36mm size. Why is there no owner's manual included?, I like a hard copy of instructions to review settings. Not everyone has 100% access to the internet to constantly go into your site for instructions. There is a card included which depicts how Citizen is helping to eliminate non-degradable batteries from landfills with this watch. Then there are two warnings on and in the watch case warning about the hazardous batteries which are in the watch.....! Confusing at best. The watch did not have a protective cover over the bezel, this is too expensive to ship with out a cover, why the oversight? Watch looks nice, time will tell if it's accurate and comfortable over the long haul.
I observed a quarter inch spot of vapor condensation under the crystal face wearing my watch in the cold weather.
Watch looked great but the band was hard and uncomfortable to wear. I replaced for silicone band.
I bought this about a month ago. It is a good looking watch and is comfortable; Not too big and not too heavy. I am disappointed in that it loses time rather quickly. I'm seeing a 1-2sec time loss over a day or two. My $49 smart watch keeps better time. The time loss is not terrible, but for a product like a Citizen watch that supposedly represents quality, it's not what I hoped for or expected.
The watch face is exactly the size I was looking for, with easy-to-read numbers, and the band is the perfect length for me--I'm a woman who apparently has larger than average wrist bones and while I do wear women's watches, I usually have to use the last or second-to-last hole, which I don't like. I wear this one on the middle of the 7 holes, which is on the loose side and very comfortable. That said, the band itself is SUPER STIFF and super difficult to buckle and especially unbuckle, which is exacerbated by the grommets getting caught while attempting to slide them past the band's guide loops. Perhaps it will become more flexible with use--we'll see. The other problem, or at least oddity, is the second hand jumps two seconds with each tick: long pause, jump, long pause, jump. I don't know if it's supposed to do this, but it's weird--you can't use the second hand for timing, etc. So why have it???
Nice watch but as others mention the strap lets it down. Short (very) buckle side and bad hole spacing means the buckle sits on the side of my wrist, and I am pretty normal sizing, and with wide riveted holes the strap is either too tight or too loose - shame
