It wasn’t as good as I expected for the price I paid.
I am unfortunately not happy with this watch for the following reasons: The watch face colour does not match the colour depicted in the marketing photo. The real colour is dark blue which looks black in all lighting other than strong light. See photo. I would not have chosen this watch if I knew this. True, the spec says dark blue, but why use a green picture? CITIZEN must fix this misrepresentation. The strap is ridiculously stiff. It may loosen up with time but who knows... The date is recessed from the face and not particularly easy to read. The second hand does not line up with the ticks correctly. This is a small point but then again this is a $200 watch, not a $20 one.

While I like the classic simplicity of the Chandler watch, I was disappointed with how small the date and day is. Granted, my eyes may not be what they used to be but I can barely read the day and date—nearly impossible for me if I’m not in bright light. This is unfortunate because this was a key feature I was looking for. I could not have predicted this issue by looking at the online photos of the time piece. Otherwise, I like my watch.
I love the face. The band ? Not so much. The holes are either too tight or bit tight enough. Clasp would be better. At least for me.
Bought this because it seemed to show hands and numbers clearly… PERIOD! Without a melange of useless dials (Really? The time until next leap year?) crapping up its face, the watch promised one thing… to reward a fast glance with the correct time. After three weeks of wear, it’s done that. Also, since I’m reasonably secure in my manhood, this watch was offered without testosteronic chain links on a band which are guaranteed to do little more than gouge up my MacBook Pro and snag sweater or jacket sleeves. It’d be better if the illumination on the hands had longer life than an ill fruit fly. All in all, this watch both lets my iPhone stay in-pocket longer while surreptitiously tracking just how seriously some insecure gasbag’s monologue’s scraping away at my remaining life. Best of all, there’s no need to page through a thick manual twice yearly to adjust it to the caprice of daylight savings time or each time I cross time lines. This is my third Citizen watch.
Nice watch. I'd definitely be interested in a titanium, crystal, with date, field watch if you ever get around to making one. That said great watch that keeps as close to perfect time as one could ask.
The watch face, casing, and band are exactly as shown in the product images. The only complaint is the band length is too short for a normal adult man. I can barely get the pin in the second notch, which doesn't leave enough to tuck the band into the loops to secure it. My hope is that I can find a longer band in the same color and hardware.
When I was changing the day on the watch when I took it out of the box the day got stuck, so I had to bang on the watch to make the day start turning again.
It is a very stylish watch for the prices and I wouldn’t recommend it
