Did not realize how big this watch is; returned it! My old Citizen dive watch was a ladies but they no longer make one sized for women. Fortunately, they are able to repair my old Citizen ladies dive watch and I am so very happy for that. C’mon, Citizen, women dive and need rugged watches too! My ratings are based on my old ladies version; size of recent purchase way too big for me. Rating would have been 5 if smaller version offered.
I bought one of these less than two years ago, and the strap did not make the whole two years. This is the first time I have a bad experience with a rubber strap, comparing to other brands too. They are supposed to last. I don’t even dive or use this watch to go to the beach. You need to get that better, I just bought a replacement(strap) to you guys, let’s see what about it. If don’t last I, honestly, will consider a different brand since I’m buying Citizen cause the Eco Drive and the durability is supposed to come with the timepiece. Other than that, I like the watch…but, it is a combo!
Nice, simple, dive watch…I like the eco drive function but the band is cheap, hard, rubber…I expected more for a $400 dollar watch. Will replace the band ASAP…
Glass scratches very easy, and strap is just okay. Also it’s very hard to see the date calendar in low light settings.
1st let me say I LOVED this watch. Great quality, great price. No issues with the packaging, I could care less either way. The reason for the 3 stars, I have a size complaint. This comes up in a women's search. It is supposed to be unisex. There's another that I recently looked at, but in Navy. If you look through all the reviews, especially those with pics, they're ALL men. Why? Because the watch is too big for a woman. It was so large I couldn't make the band small enough, had a ridiculous amount of left over and had to use rubber bands to hold the excess down. I watched some YouTube videos on how to shorten the length, but with a watch that expensive (I didn't get it at the above price), was affraid to try any of them. I didn't want the hassle of looking up the return policy, I'd worn it for a week..ish and didn't want the hassle of a return either. I ended up giving it to my 16yo son. He liked it, wore it a few times, and now it sits on his dresser. I have several citizen watches and I love the eco drive and their quality. However, I was really disappointed in this one. Why isn't there a smaller one available?!? More importantly, why list it as womens or unisex? It's not. It's a mens watch!
Citizen Response
Great watch. Effective in its use and accurate. Wish I could get a smaller band as this band is too large resulting in a huge over hang of the band when on my wrist. No the case for everyone, but this is an issue I experienced.
I received this as a gift for Christmas last year and have been wearing it pretty much every day since. I really like the watch, but recently, when trying to change the time, the crown came out completely. I'm sending it back in and hoping it will be covered under warranty, but dissapointed that I even have to deal with it for a time piece that I expected to be higher quality.
I like the watch, it seems to be very rugged and is certainly good looking. Being a smaller face, it looks good on my smaller wrists. My only complaint is the stiff watch band. The watch rotates on my wrist when worn comfortably, and I have to tighten it too much to keep it centered on my wrist. A better band would get this watch five stars.
I like the watch very much. The divers band is stiffer than necessary. The radiant hands and hour markers aren’t as bright as I had expected. The watch is rugged so far and it gets worn 24/7. It’s still too new to say more than that.
