Bought this watch for surfing. Noticed condensation behind the crystal after 3 weeks of purchase. Would have thought this watch would be more durable. Hoping Citizen makes this right.
Citizen Response
I have had this watch for years - it is really nice. I also have a related, older, model - the BJ2115 which is also excellent. The dial is clean, lume is EXCELLENT, and timekeeping is solid. Highly recommended.
This is a great watch and I use it for diving. My only issue is that I actually use the watch for diving as a backup timing device. While the bezel only rotates one way, it does seem to move with the slightest touch. It's not THAT big of a deal as it would only increase my safety margin if I had to rely on the time, but it would be better if it stayed in place a little better. Otherwise, build quality is top notch, far better than most watches in this price range. If you don't dive, don't worry about the bezel, but if you do you should be aware.
The watch keeps excellent time. I also own a Citizen with the radio signal timekeeping feature. This Divers watch is no more than 1-2 seconds different from that watch, each month. It is water resistant for the pool swimming and showering I subject it too. I've little doubt it could handle snorkeling and recreational scuba diving, though LOL at the helium purge feature. The lume is much greater than my other Citizen watch. Watch size is huge. It's not light either. I need to stop being weak, I guess. The rotating bezel needs a lock. It is easy to inadvertently bump forward a click. Still, I used the bezel to keep track of someone's bottom time, and thereby noticed when they had blacked out. They're alive and well today, so this watch helped me save a life. I'm glad I bought this watch, and I unhesitatingly recommend it.
