Straight to the point : At this price it would have been great to have a sapphire crystal instead of the mineral. I know the theory that mineral is more elastic than sapphire and under water this counts however this can be solved with a thickness crystal. The good part is that the bezel effectively covers the mineral such that its not directly exposed. The date complexity is hard to spot and this bothers me sometimes. The bezel feels much more cheaper than my monster vs2 and has only 60 steps. I would prefer to have the bezel minute indices graved rather than printed... Feels cheaper. These points mean for me that there is room for improvement in this price range. On the bright side I am happy with : Titanium which makes it very light. Iso 6425 true Diver certified. Solar means 3 things for me :no battery costs, no opening to sacrifice water resistance, accuracy because of battery is not discharged. Second arrow hits very accurate the minutes markers and has a nice distinctive yellow color. Face has a cool deep blue color..however it's strange that I somehow see the charging panel circuit/form in direct sunlight which I don't quite enjoy at this price... Very cool blueish Illumination different from the traditional green light. Good bracelet. Very accurate: half second in half a month. Low Battery indicator.
This is nice watch. Titanium was a major reason I bought it, because I never had one, and my Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver is steel, and heavy. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is a bracelet clasp which has additional security thing, that is frequently snapped off by simple contact with clothes. I'd prefer not to have it, as I've never had problem with Ulysse's clasp, which don't have that additional security part.
Absolutely love this watch. I just wish we could get one with a sapphire crystal. If it had a sapphire crystal it would be a 5 star watch. The sapphire crystals last so much longer than the mineral ones I am not sure why all "better" watches don't include them at least as an option.
I purchased this watch for myself as a first Father’s Day gift, I remember my dad having a Citizen watch and I wanted one as well. This is also my first nicer watch. My everyday wear watch is a GPS running watch so I knew going into this I would only be wearing the Promaster going out/special occasions etc. After buying this watch I kind of went down a rabbit hole of the watch world and I do regret my purchase of this watch. I thought the Eco-Drive would hold a little more battery but since I don’t wear it very often it must have died and has now developed a delay in the second hand. I have worn it outside on sunny days, left it under a lamp and still has the delay. Changing the time and date is a huge pain. It’s very hard to unlock and pull out. Overall it’s a great looking watch, love the style of a diver and it’s very light since it’s titanium. I need to take it to a Citizen store for them to diagnosis the problem. If I had to do it again I would have gone with a different watch.
I received this watch a few days ago. After putting it on I was extremely surprised how "Light Weight" it is. Way lighter than my previous Citizen watch which is the same 44mm size. Its titanium so I thought it might be a little more sturdy than what it is.
Keeps time vary accurately and seems durable but the seconds hand does not line up with the seconds markers on the dial.
great watches but would be perfect with shaphire and better quality rubber band, they are expensive to replace and dont last
Just if the screw down crown was bigger and more finely machined to screw down easily and securely, in and out when needed, to adjust time and date. Crown feels cheap., weak and hard to get started. Date window is too small or could use magnifier cyclop lens?
The good - titanium and light. The bad - the date window. So small that I wonder why it is even a feature on this watch. Hopefully, Citizen will make a change in the future to put a bubble or make it larger.
