Very impressive rugged watch.

I bought the Promaster Tough a few weeks ago from an AD and was immediately impressed with the fit and finish. The titanium coating has a nice dark color to it and so far hasn’t shown a single scratch. The sapphire crystal feels every bit as tough as the steel one piece case. The watch is heavy but feels solid and indestructible. The steel titanium bracelet is very comfortable and seems to be very well made and compliments the thin case. So far it’s keeping very accurate time, I haven’t had to adjust it yet.

Perfect daily wear watch

I'll start with the bad, there's only 2: 1) The date window/dial is so hopelessly small that it should have omitted from the design. It's the smallest I have ever seen on a watch. It's so small that its not worth squinting at or updating every month. 2) The metal bracelet does indeed scuff & scratch (so much for titanium) and the clasp is very long - close to 1/3 of the length...which is a big deal for us smaller wrist guys. OK that's all the bad. The good - there's alot: The monocoque back/build is very unique and makes perfect sense for a (automatic) watch not needing a battery. Take that plus the Sapphire crystal, Eco-drive, water resistance - you have the equivalent of great diver watch - that's not a diver watch & no rotating bezel that you're not using since you've never even been snorkeling let alone scuba diving.. So all you dudes wearing your diver watches for these identical features, get this Promaster Tough and stop posing like you're PADI certified. I intentionally set my watches 2 minutes fast for punctuality reasons, and this E168 movement has held steady for over 2 months with no change -/+. The watch is great for the office with a suit and the beach - now that's versatile. I sold off my entire watch collection just so I could have one watch that could do it all, simply, elegantly, reliably, and durably...the Promaster Tough even with it's cheesy name - fits that bill. But seriously Citizen either remove the date or increase it's size to make it readable.

A solid time piece

Got this as a belated birthday present and wow! This timepiece has all the rugged functionality of the Rolex Milgaus, Explorer or the Omega Railmaster without the hefty price tag. The dial is wonderfully executed In minimalist beauty. You can in a quick glance read the time. I did read complaints regarding the small date window. I love the small date window as it doesn’t take away from the watches primary function of giving you the time and the date window is easily seen to get the date. The bracelet is fantastic and with the watch is very comfortable for daily wear. The watch does have heft. So, if you have girly wrists, stay away! This is a working mans watch that can be worn in blue jeans and a T-shirt to a suit in a boardroom meeting. I highly recommend this timepiece!!

Tough and sleek

I purchased the Promaster Tough about a month ago and so far, I love the watch. I decided to give this watch a go as I was looking for a rugged yet sleek watch that will go the distance in the field and also look good while wearing with business attire. To date, I couldn’t be happier. The weight of the watch feels good and I love the fact that I can actually read the time in the dark. (A must have for me). The only thing that I struggle with is reading the date. The window is quite small and hard to see the number.
