Saw that this watch had been restocked and decided to purchase after having read reviews which praised it. The look, quality at this price point, and promise of long-term durability drew me in. I reached out to Citizen USA to get help with a concern pre-purchase and was contacted by Sylvia who was able to assist me in resolving my questions. It was nice to have a single person to communicate with as the messages went back and forth for about a week. I purchased the watch, had it sized, and it was on my wrist two days later. As it turns out, the sizing was spot-on for my 7.25" wrist and the tech who performed this left no trace of their work, including the extra links in the box. Warranty activation was easy and I received an extra year by using the QR code on the included paperwork. Watch keeps excellent time (+5 sec./wk) and is quite comfortable all day long. Other good things: The crystal is distortion-free and the time will come when I appreciate that it is sapphire. Titanium case and band are well made and the coating seems effective so far in keeping it scratch-free. The crown is grippy and finished nicely. The watch face is what drew me to this watch - very legible and in good taste (I do like tool watches so this is a treat). All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and though the watch is really excellent, it was the service I received from Sylvia and the folks at Citizen USA that sold me. This was my first but won't be my last Citizen watch. For the money, perhaps the best watches on the market today.
One year of abuse from extreme heat to extreme cold with some hard hits in between this bad boy is always looking for more and looking good doing it. Titanium that’s light for the fight, boldness that beats the little hands on luxury brands, domed sapphire brings cool distortion with wrist torsion, accurate and reliable as the sunrise, then it captures those rays that’s the real prize. Citizen has an authentic 100 year history and they’re here to stay, this watch is bulletproof with the right DNA. Thank you Citizen I absolutely love my watch!!
I purchased the Promaster Tough (BN0241-59H) to serve as a durable everyday watch. The eco-drive quartz movement is a big part of this: no winding, super accurate time, no service for 10+ years. The 200 meter WR is also important, allowing for worry-free swimming and snorkeling. The super titanium finish has not shown any wear so far and keeps the watch much lighter than comparable stainless steel watches with 200 meter WR. The 41mm case fits surprisingly well on my 6.75" wrist and is very comfortable. The bracelet is also comfortable and easy to use. It would be nice for the bracelet clasp to have micro adjustment, but the links are short enough to be able to size it for a good fit. The black dial with white numbers and hands is very easy to read, though the date window is small. The luminous hands and markers show brightly at first, though diminish to a modest (but readable) glow that lasts a full night.
My first non-fitness based watch. I just needed something to tell me the time. It does that. It looks good too. It doesn’t have any silly bells and whistles. Eco-Drive is cool.
I was looking for a good dependable watch that I didn't have to treat it like a delicate flower. All it needs to do is keep accurate time that I can wear all the time in the field. This one is it!!

The watch looks nice. I hope to use this outside a lot! The case that it comes in is also petty cool! I'm sure it will work fine for a daily driver as well.
Awesome, simple, rugged watch. Perfectly sized for average sized wrists. The only gripe I have is the band adjustment. It would be nice if they provided instructions and a tool to adjust the sizing. For the price of this watch I shouldn’t have to pay a jeweler or search the internet about how to take one of the many band designs apart. In the end I couldn’t find any help at all on it and I ended up buying a tool at harbor freight and even then I didn’t figure things out until I had the band apart. The pins are totally different than my other citizen watch and these are a solid pin that sits inside a roll pin which sits inside the hinge on each link. Just make sure you push the pin out in the direction of the arrow.

My collection consists principally of mechanical watches -- Rolex, Tudor, and Nomos. Because of a health problem,I can no longer move my left arm easily so my automatic watches are difficult to keep wound. the Promaster tough is similar enough in looks to my RolexExplorer-- though the promaster has stick markers where the explorer has its famous numerals, and vice versa. the eco-drive movement keeps the promaster telling time without relying on arm motions to wind/charge the movement. all-in-all the promaster checks all the boxes, including excellent readability.and physical durability. I wear it almost every day, alternating it with other eco-drive watches, including the Garrison green dial on tan leather strap. Eco-drive seems almost miraculous in its genius to power watches , maybe especially for those of us who need a timepiece that is self-sustaining, carefree and foolproof . I am keeping my mechanical watches in the watchbox until I can wear them properly to wind them I will wear and depend on my remarkable citizen eco-drives with great delight until then and no doubt after that, too. what splendid inventions eco-drive and duratect are! .

The Promaster Tough is a beautiful watch. I wanted an Eco-Drive watch with Arabic numerals, that was easy to see the time, had WR 200 capability, and was comfortable to wear. The numerals are very easy to see (even the date) if you're an older guy. The case is also very rounded-off and doesn't catch on clothes or scratch things, so its very comfortable to wear. I just wish the bracelet was a little more shiny or 'flashy'. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
Love this watch. I think the bold hand set suits the watch very well. I also love the applied numerals and markers, they are slightly raised and give the watch dial some pop. The color of the dial also matches the titanium bracelet perfectly. Very well done all around. The case diameter is also ideal for me, it looks great on my wrist. I really enjoy wearing this watch. If you're looking for a great looking and tough all-rounder with NO maintenance this is it.
