Citizen Promaster Dive watch lacks quality I expected

Dear Citizen, This my FIRST Citizen watch. I was surprised to see how low the quality is: (a) the bezel arrow does not line up with the notches, and (b) the second hand does not line up with the second hashes. Please see the enclosed photos. I really wish Citizen would replace this watch with a higher quality item. Sincerely, Darin Okuyama

Promaster BN0261

I like the look, size and feel of the watch. The only negative is the second hand hits none of the markers. I have a Promaster BN0150 and a Garrison and both hit them all.

Good But Not Great

On totality, this is a beautiful looking watch, especially for the price point. The dial shines beautifully in the sun, the 41mm fits perfectly on the wrist, and the bezel has a nice 60 point clicking action. However, the bezel also has some play so it doesn’t line up perfectly with the indices unless you scoot it onto them, and even then it doesn’t stay. If there’s one thing I can’t ignore or stand on a dive watch, it’s a misaligned bezel. The Eco-Drive is also one of the best technologies ever produced for watches which makes this a top tier option because of the reliability and accuracy.

Great watch - could be improved

Banger of a watch. Good size, dial looks nice. The minute hand needs to be a little longer, it doesn't reach the actual minute marks. The bezel insert also looks a little cheap - not sure what it is about it, maybe the font used or something. Good bracelet though. Would love to see this offered as a mechanical / automatic movement in addition to eco-drive.

Nice watch

Nice dive watch. Looks great. Not a fan of the bracelet. I put it on a NATO strap and took it hiking and rafting and it’s doing great so far. The lume is pretty good.

Good not great

This is a good-looking watch, and it has a comfortable bracelet. However, I do have some gripes, especially for the price point. First, the hand alignment is not perfect, which is frustrating when you're spending nearly $500. Second, the clasp is very long and bulky, and it is even longer if you want to use the toolless micro adjustments. Overall, I like it, but I think it should be a little more refined for the price.

Perfect watch!

As a college student, this watch has been perfect-I can wear it confidently to the lake, classes, and even formal events. Sapphire crystal, eco drive, and an on the fly adjustment make it a great choice for any situation. You cannot go wrong!

Just get it!

If you’re on the fence about this piece, just get it! This is a beast of a diver. The watch is perfectly sized for my 7.5 inch wrist. Citizen did a perfect job with their complimentary bracelet sizing as well. The lume on this watch is incredible for the price point and I appreciate that this piece includes a sapphire crystal. The shipping was incredibly fast as well. I had an all around good experience and look forward to wearing this for years to come. Definitely won’t be my last Citizen purchase.

You cant beat citizens eco-drive. I appreciate the history and quality of this company. I got this watch as a daily and for work. I was going to change the band out but its so well made, I grew to love it. With all that stainless steel, it's definitely got some good weight to it so it sometimes distal on my wrist when Im moving a lot, but not a big deal. Switching the band would help. The lumination is great but doesnt last long. Not a deal breaker. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this watch. The design is fantastic. Flat surface with raised bezel so the sapphire crystal gets protected from unnecessary scratches, crown protection, screw down crown, date, good hands, and limited writing on the surface. I hate when watches write too much on the face. It should be the brand, 1 or 2 key features of the watch and that is it. Citizen nails it. If youre on the edge about getting this dive watch, make the move. You will love it. And... this wont be your last watch, so keep the collection going:)
