My 2nd Promaster Aqualand. Got my 1st right after I received my scuba cert. in 1998. Wasn't an Ecodrive so every 2 years I sent it for battery replacement. This new one is definitely an upgrade. The black face makes it easier to tell the time, though the depth and hour hand can be confused. Love the look, the gold bezel is a nice touch. A solid good looking everyday timepiece. And the depth gauge is, for me, the biggest selling point. Wouldn't rely on it as a primary on dives, it's a good back up. Doesn't have a confusing menu to work through like a wrist dive computer. And it's perfect for freediving. Besides the depth/hour hand issue the biggest issue is the wrist band: too short. I don't have a large wrist but use the 2nd to last hole. .I'd need the extension over a 2 mil. wetsuit, and it would get lost in my gear bag. Over all I'm thrilled. Looks great, Ecodrive, integrated depth gauge Why have a dive watch with out that feature?
