Wonderful watch, just way to short of a band. Have never had this problem with a citizen before. Very odd.
I bought 2 versions, the 30th Anniversary and the Pepsi. I already had love for Aqualand as my CO22 has been with me since 1989. These watches are all that and a bag of chips, looks, functuality, and of course eco-drive. Magnum PI should accept this model as an upgrade. Only complaint I have is the strap, its hard to buckle and unbuckle the 17 degree kick on the buckle seems designed to frustrate, the underside edge of the buckle is sharp and almost instantly cuts into the strap, the pin is wide and flat, like trying to put an oyster in a matchbox while lining up the holes. I removed the strap to replace it, with strap loose in hand I slapped my desk and used it to lift me out of my chair while it stuck to the wood desk top. Overall feel of the strap is sticky, sucks up dirt, dust etc. its as useless as turn signals on a BMW. I could go on as my hate for this strap is strong, but here is how I fixed the problem. I replaced it with a FKM tropic rubber 1960s style strap like you find on submariners or sea quartz 30s- Amazing made all the difference I highly recommend this mod so you can fully enjoy the watch.

awesome watch ,no manual ,had to go to utube to figure out how to set it as there is no manual , so far t is keeping great time
Great Looking Pepsi bezel watch. I gave it 4 stars because the band is short. The band is stiff and uncomfortable. The blue band shows dirt immediately from sweat. It takes time to remember to disregard the red dive meter arm that’s fixed at 3 o’clock When telling time. The coin edge bezel is sold & the luminescence is bright & easily activated by a flash light. If you have a large wrist the strap sucks. My Casio Pepsi bezel solar dive watch has a longer & more comfortable Silicone straps. My Solar power needle never reads full anymore, even though I have left it charging as instructed & I am out on the water all day every day. It is a heavy watch with a thick case it takes about 2 weeks to get used to it. I plan on replacing the strap with a better one.
This watch looks great and feels fine, but its functionality is pathetic. A well designed watch would not come with a 67 page manual that very poorly describes all the problems you will encounter with this watch. Is there another watch on the planet that requires the owner to manually set the calendar on the first day of each month with 31 days?
It's a beautiful watch. My only complaint is that for the price it should be using sapphire crystal and not mineral. A shame really, but the watch is very nice.

I recently received the Promaster BN2038-01L; it arrived in good order and I'm just checking out references on operating the watch. I must add that I had been wearing an Aqualand Duplex for diving over 20 years and it finally gave out. Citizen sent me a special credit for purchase of the Promaster which motivated me to get the replacement. Citizen's customer service is incredible, unlike many companies in this day and age. The watch is quite special and actually keeps better time than my Rolex Daytona. Thanks Citizen for making it possible to get a replacement and have it as a back up to my scuba diving adventures.
