I bought 2 versions, the 30th Anniversary and the Pepsi. I already had love for Aqualand as my CO22 has been with me since 1989. These watches are all that and a bag of chips, looks, functuality, and of course eco-drive. Magnum PI should accept this model as an upgrade. Only complaint I have is the strap, its hard to buckle and unbuckle the 17 degree kick on the buckle seems designed to frustrate, the underside edge of the buckle is sharp and almost instantly cuts into the strap, the pin is wide and flat, like trying to put an oyster in a matchbox while lining up the holes. I removed the strap to replace it, with strap loose in hand I slapped my desk and used it to lift me out of my chair while it stuck to the wood desk top. Overall feel of the strap is sticky, sucks up dirt, dust etc. its as useless as turn signals on a BMW. I could go on as my hate for this strap is strong, but here is how I fixed the problem. I replaced it with a FKM tropic rubber 1960s style strap like you find on submariners or sea quartz 30s- Amazing made all the difference I highly recommend this mod so you can fully enjoy the watch.
Everything you need in a dive watch. Quality, convenience, features. Never quits.
Love the look feel and ease of use ! Everyone should own one if they’re a watch collector, absolutely gorgeous!
It’s a fantastic watch. On mine at least, the bezel and minute hands line up perfectly with 12 o’clock and the second hand is exactly on each marker on the dial. So many watches come today with the hands and markers misaligned. This watch is extremely accurate. It gain about 1-2 seconds per month. I’m extremely happy with the accuracy it’s one of my most accurate watches. You get a ton of value in this model. Negatives. The rubber band is too short. I think Citizen should offer a metal bracelet as an option at the very least. Next is having to change the date manually ever once in a while. It’s not a huge problem as I’m used to it on mechanical watches. It’s just slightly annoying on a digital. Small suggestion to Citizen. Make the red “current depth” hand function as a GMT hand when the watch is not in the water so you could have two time zones. Then when the sensor gets wet it functions as a dive watch. I think it could be setup to switch automatically between land and sea modes. Maybe on the next version.
