Just got my new watch. I have owned G.Shock, Apple and a few Citizen’s. I like this one better than my original Skyhawk which stopped working after 10 years. The new one is sleek and is comparable to my G is size. I’m looking forward to getting a few compliments on this one. It’s an investment, Citizen is known as a luxury brand.
Just got it yesterday. Awesome watch, easy to use functions. Great looking! No doubt in my mind that it will be typical excellent Citizen quality. Only reason for the 4 stars versus 5, crown is not a screw down. Seems really strange for this watch. Additionally, the crown is absent any shoulders for protection. Also strange.

Like many I have owned other Citizen watches and have never been disappointed. The Promaster Altichron is no exception at all. This is a very sharp watch. Not difficult to use. Some reviews have mentioned that the hands do not remain illuminated through the night. Well mine apparently is the exception, because it loses nothing as far as illumination all night long. Extremely pleased with everything about this watch. I did change the band, simply because I have a preference in watchbands that are larger. Just a personal thing. It is a decent sized timepiece for sure. Without any hesitation I highly recommend. As I said before. Citizen in my opinion makes excellent watches. Period. I am not easy on them at all, but they have never let me down. When I put a watch on, well it is on. I wear it literally 24/7. Comes off to shower and that is it. Thank you Citizen for once again making a classic, functional and great looking watch.

Purchased 2 months ago, and has replaced my citizen AT2447-01E as my daily wear. Great looking watch, bold markings, bright glo points (and blue, not green! Nice touch!). I say 'good' features, because the altimiter is pretty decent, atmospheric conditions obviously having an effect on readings, the compass is not great.. pretty bad actually. The refresh rate on it is terrible, so dang slow, and the bezel (with the compass points on it) is loose, to the point where it almost rattles, you can actually wiggle it up and down, makes it feel cheap. The watch band is where it really falls on its face. It looks fine, and is comfortable enough, but it's very sticky to itself. One night I gave up on trying to take it off, could not get the band out of the loops, and had to wear it to bed! Will be switching to a leather deployment clasp at first opportunity. Watch case is an ABSOLUTE UNIT though. Great size, great look.

I've been wearing this watch for over 2 months now and get more compliments on this watch then any other watch I wear. I'll admit, I don't use many of the altimeter functions as of yet... but I love the way the watch looks and feels. I have a small wrist and the watch is NOT too big for me.

Well first off the first time I saw a Citizen watch was in 1991 when I had finished Marine Corps Boot Camp and I saw a Cool Aqua land Series watch JP2004-07E it was Silver & Gold and had the depth gauge on the side of it . I though I was the bomb and had to have one so every since then it has been all those styles of watches by Citizen. One drawback then was every time my battery went dead you had to send your Pride and Joy away and you always had that good old "white mark around your wrist" until it got back but with this New style that is Old School stuff and long gone. This is my First Altichron watch and I was a little worried about buying one but I really love this thing and it looks Great and it is easy to use and everybody comments about it every time I go out to in it. I am a tech guy and I am spoiled by my smart watches etc, and my wife was surprised that I bought this for Christmas but after I put this on in the store I was hooked from that point :) I really think the Style of the rubber band and the entire Watch face etc looks really Good to me. I say go try one on and if you have ever owned a Citizen in the past you know what your getting into. I hope this review helps you guys out. Semper Fi.

I bough it a week ago . Ilove it ! I thinks it is impressive !
I bought this about 3 years ago. I use it 2-3 times per month and keep it in a watch case. The band broke for no apparent reason. Replacing it will cost about $90 or above. Not happy about that!
I love watches. Citizen, G-Shock and Seiko are my favs and this one is quickly becoming one of my go tos. Good size and good wrist feel. Was eyeing it for a while and finally pulled the trigger and so glad I did
I really love this watch but there should be small improvements. The outer bezel with cardinal directions (N,S,E,W) and degrees is too loose! It needs to click to stay in place. It moves too easily so when orienteering, it's likely to move after setting your bearing. The compass works really good but the altimeter is rarely correct, even after calibration it changes frequently. I understand that a change in temperature and weather can affect the sensor, but it doesn't seem extremely useful. The eco-drive system is fantastic.

First and foremost: Great utility watch. Altimeter and compass simple to use . Bezel spins freely but bearable. The liquid rubber strap I ditched for a Zulu nato strap which works brilliantly. The size is 46mm and wears like a 46mm so it is a pretty big watch. I like big watches . The lume on this particular watch does last glowing a blue hue for maybe 3hrs . I strongly recommend it .
I have had the pleasure of owning this watch for approximately one month now. This is an excellent timepiece. While being a larger watch, it is very comfortable to wear, definitely not a brick on your wrist. The face is very clear and easy to read. The luminescent markers are more than adequate after being exposed to a normal source of light during a routine day. As one may guess, the results are amplified after being exposed to a concentrated source of light for a time period. All the functions of this watch perform as described and promised. Should you purchase this watch, I don't believe you'll be disappointed.
This is my second Citizen watch. As with the first one, it came as advertised on the website. It’s sporty and looks great, functions well, and feels indestructible. I love wearing it and anticipate doing so for a long time.
Rubber Strap broke not even a year after I purchased it. Cannot even find a replacement. Please advise where I can purchase replacement....
The watch i bought from macys online it came in the oxygen tank case(wrong case) I returned and was sent a 2nd watch in a cardboard case, i asking for the black plastic case and instructions,were not included. If you look you’ll see the case
This is a watch I’ve had my eyes on for years. Top of my “wish list”. It’s extremely durable and looks amazing. Joking aside, if the world were to go to south, post apocalyptic/dystopian times this would be a watch I’d have to have. The only thing missing is an alarm ;)
