I absolutely love my Citizen Promaster Altichron watch. It feels amazingly comfortable and even comforting when you have it strapped on. It’s easy to read in low light, does not fatigue your wrist, is always fully charged, and never really needs and special charging or maintenance. Keeps time like a chronometer and is as sturdy as a tank. I never leave home without my spectacular Promaster.
One rugged, great looking watch. Bought on a cruise. Great value
Citizen has done it again. They have created a stunning, technologically advanced timepiece that will bring you much joy for years to come. As always first class quality. The altimeter is spot on. The compass gave the exact readings to a unit that I was using to measure the accuracy. This watch is even more impressive once placed on the wrist.
Bought at the end of December and the only problem is getting the thick band on. I man buy one that takes less work other words I like the looks of the watch. I also have five other solar Citizen watches that I enjoy.
Well first off the first time I saw a Citizen watch was in 1991 when I had finished Marine Corps Boot Camp and I saw a Cool Aqua land Series watch JP2004-07E it was Silver & Gold and had the depth gauge on the side of it . I though I was the bomb and had to have one so every since then it has been all those styles of watches by Citizen. One drawback then was every time my battery went dead you had to send your Pride and Joy away and you always had that good old "white mark around your wrist" until it got back but with this New style that is Old School stuff and long gone. This is my First Altichron watch and I was a little worried about buying one but I really love this thing and it looks Great and it is easy to use and everybody comments about it every time I go out to in it. I am a tech guy and I am spoiled by my smart watches etc, and my wife was surprised that I bought this for Christmas but after I put this on in the store I was hooked from that point :) I really think the Style of the rubber band and the entire Watch face etc looks really Good to me. I say go try one on and if you have ever owned a Citizen in the past you know what your getting into. I hope this review helps you guys out. Semper Fi.
I've had this watch several weeks and am loving it. I'm already looking forward to my next purchase.
Just got my new watch. I have owned G.Shock, Apple and a few Citizen’s. I like this one better than my original Skyhawk which stopped working after 10 years. The new one is sleek and is comparable to my G is size. I’m looking forward to getting a few compliments on this one. It’s an investment, Citizen is known as a luxury brand.
I bought this about 3 years ago. I use it 2-3 times per month and keep it in a watch case. The band broke for no apparent reason. Replacing it will cost about $90 or above. Not happy about that!
I've bought Two of them over recent years, in black. That's how much I've liked it. Very functional and aesthetic design. Very easy to see what the actial time is! even at at a slight glance. It gets compliments and makes a impression, though I didn't buy it for that. I'd strongly suggest Citizen keeping this core design aesthetic and evolving pushing it forward, instead of discontinuing the line eventually. And get more technically and aestheticlly creative with the band/strap options. Takes daily wear very well, and can definitely handle wear during recreational/sports activity. But the band can indeed wear out along the buckle-holes area, and if you drop the watch and it lands square on the face of the crystal? It can fracture. Happened in my kitchen... not Kilimanjaro ;-) The outer bezel is free-rotating, which is bad. IT SHOULD HAVE CLICKS! It moves too easily if anything brushes against the watch, so when orienteering it WILL move after setting your bearing. The eco-drive system is truly excellent.
I don’t like the band. It’s too hard to get the loose end of the strap secured when it’s on your wrist.
