Very Nearly Unusable
Ordered this watch as a hotel points premium several months ago. Only saw the online representation of it. Never saw an example in person until it arrived at my door. I was really excited when I placed the order, as I already own a couple other Citizen watches and those have always been among my favorites. But wow! What a MASSIVE disappointment when I first opened the box!
The face, the hashmarks and numerals, all three secondary dials and the primary hands are ALL virtually the same shade of black! Most definitely does not show the same contrast as shown on the Citizen website.
Who designs a watch like this!
Completely unreadable indoors, in a vehicle or on a plane. Very nearly unreadable outdoors, especially with sunglasses on unless it is in extremly direct sunlight!
This watch is completely amazing in as far as just how utterly useless it actually is! No way I would have EVER chosen this watch in person.
Otherwise, the traditional Citizen quality of materials and workmanship is certainly there, and I guess it does look pretty good on my wrist. I just can't use it to actually tell the time of day.
My recommendation to anyone considering this watch as an online purchase for yourself or as a gift.... Seek out a nearby Citizen dealer and try to see one in person first. I so wish now that I had done so.....
