Bracelet color fade

Was gifted this watch over 2 years ago now and have worn it on 6 or 7 occasions over that period. Have kept it in a safe, secure position, open boxed on bedroom dresser. Agree with another reviewer that the watch bands color fades off the side and in my case the dial as well. The look of this watch went from sleek to cheap pretty fast and further dampens my consumer enthusiasm over yet another product (not only this product or manufacturer) that sadly fails the test of ownership.

What I expected except the second hand does not continuously run. That was disappointing.
