The second hand isn't a true second hand, the second hand is one of the small dials in the watch face. The hour and minute hand are very difficult to read because they are very similar in color to the watch face. I work in healthcare and I need a second hand that is easily read as well as being able to easily read the time and sometimes low lit areas.
Had this watch for 4 years and love the styling, weight, chargability with any light - but -hands are not luminous except immediately after being exposed to light. Called the company and was told in order to see hands at night you must expose them to light? What good are luminous hands if you can't read them at night?
I bought this watch to tell the time of day. This watch looks great in the photo. I’m t is sold and beautiful. But you can’t read the time due to the dial’s color blending into background; indoors or outdoors is the same almost impossible ability to read the time. What a disappointment. I owned it less than one day and knew I’d have to return it. Wholly not acceptable. Very disappointed. I had my first CITIZEN watch 23 years until a lost stop watch push button couldn’t be replaced. I’ll try another CITIZEN watch which has white or legible hands that can be read easily at a glance without eye strain or by maneuvering the watch to catch the light just right to read the time. Watch does not illuminate for night glow which you’d think would be a standard feature. I miss my old CITIZEN. I’m not giving up though. Note to CITIZEN: Please fix the color of the main dials! And don’t let anyone buy this watch without full disclosure. Thanks for allowing candid reviews. But I couldn’t believe the watch dials are almost invisible. Darn it.
Very nice watch, goes great with any outfit. Would recommend.
