5 years ago I came across this watch. My everyday time keeper while added style. Easy to read and very user friendly. So glad I bought it and will have for a lifetime. Must have if you don't have it already

Not my first, nor will it be my last Citizen watch. Beautiful watch with the style, fit, finish, and precision to be expected from Citizen. I've received many compliments on it, and it's a great addition to my collection.
Great watch and I love the style/look. The only downside imo is that the fact that it’s a black on black watch and that makes it tough to tell the time if it’s not day time. They should’ve lightened up the hands. The other weird thing is the glow isn’t nearly as bright as my other (silver) nighthawk. Same watch, different color and there is a clear difference in the brightness of the glow. My Silver nighthawk has an indiglow color where my black nighthawk has a regular green glow but again, it’s very dim and doesn’t last long in comparison to my silver nighthawk. Other than that the Nighthawk line is a really good looking watch and keeps time extremely well.

I bought this a few months ago and overall it’s a great watch except for one thing that drives me nuts that I thought I could live with. I cannot read the time in low light conditions. Nothing about this watch is “luminous” like they claim. Because of this, I have a habit of checking time with my phone, so this watch is more of a “look good piece” than it is functional. I’d return it if they would take it back, but oh well. I guess I’ll have to do my homework and research whether or not a luminous watch by Citizen is actually what they say it is.

I bought this watch to tell the time of day. This watch looks great in the photo. I’m t is sold and beautiful. But you can’t read the time due to the dial’s color blending into background; indoors or outdoors is the same almost impossible ability to read the time. What a disappointment. I owned it less than one day and knew I’d have to return it. Wholly not acceptable. Very disappointed. I had my first CITIZEN watch 23 years until a lost stop watch push button couldn’t be replaced. I’ll try another CITIZEN watch which has white or legible hands that can be read easily at a glance without eye strain or by maneuvering the watch to catch the light just right to read the time. Watch does not illuminate for night glow which you’d think would be a standard feature. I miss my old CITIZEN. I’m not giving up though. Note to CITIZEN: Please fix the color of the main dials! And don’t let anyone buy this watch without full disclosure. Thanks for allowing candid reviews. But I couldn’t believe the watch dials are almost invisible. Darn it.
This is my 3rd Citizen watch and it did not disappoint. Very happy. Have had many compliments on it.

Bought this watch and had to return it. The hour and minute hands were hard to see in anything but a well lit room. I could not see the hands in a room with moderate light and the luminescent hands did not stay glowing more than a couple of minutes.
I've had nothing but compliments on the look of this watch. Hard to read at night. But this is the quality I've come to expect from citizen. Thanks!
I bought this watch a week ago and am not 100% pleased. I like the way it looks, but is difficult to read at night. The dials and the numbers are not illuminated making the Time almost unreadable.
I bought this watch sometime around 2 years ago. I do like the watch, looks good. The only issue i have, have a hard time seeing it. Hands blend in with the background. And at night, the illuminated face lasts for less than an hour, then becomes nearly impossible to read the time.
Just like everyone else- love this watch, mechanically perfect, looks sharp. Only one problem- the hands blend perfectly into the dial. In anything but direct sunlight you can't read the time. If I could send it in to get the hands changed to something readable I certainly would. What say yea Citizen? Look at all the reviews here stating the same thing.
I bought this watch a week ago. I have allergies to some metals. So far this watch has been good for me that way. The watch says it's luminous. If it has a bright light to "charge" the luminous material, it does. But it is hard to see at night. If you don't have a good light source, you can't read this watch at night. If that was better, this watch would receive a 5 star rating. For the price, it's good for a day watch, a good showpiece, and that's about it. Come nighttime, the watch fails.
Hard to read date. Time also hard to read because hands are same color as background.
