bought in 2022,time adjust pin was broken in 8 month by itself, citizen service is terrible nobody help me,went to store where i buy the watches they didnt even care about, never ever again
I owned my previous Citizen Eco-Drive watch for 10+ years and wore it all the time from everyday activities to hunting in the mid west, skydiving and scubadiving without ever having to worry my watch failing me. After a long life the glass let moisture thru and I decided it was time for a new one. After looking at my options this model caught my eye as it was visually very similar to my old timer. From day one when I received the watch I noticed that my clasp would come undone by it self, similar to other negative reviews about this watch. A few months into the ownership, at a company retreat I was zip lining. In the morning I had my watch, in the afternoon the woods had it. Extremely desipointed by quality of the clasp. I will now have to look for an alternative elsewhere.
The clasp bent and wouldn’t close the first within a week after gifting it to my SO
Thought this would be a darker black, seems more grayish than what’s depicted in the marketing
I'm using this watch for a year - very reliable and accurate. The main problem is that the main hands are too small and upper left assisting hand is too big so you need to concentrate in order to findout what's the time, furthermore at night ot in early morning unless it is completley dark you can't know what the time is - the loom is not strong enough and you can't differentiate between the 4 hands. Any use of the special features is complecated and you have to follow the manual each time.
I recently purchased this PCAT watch, I absolutely love its features, but absolutely hate the Black Hands on the Black Face. I simply cannot see them in less than full daylight. I wrote to Citizen Customer Care shortly after purchasing to inquire about different hands that might offer some contrast and was told that these hands were the only ones available. On today's advertisement, I see there is a model with a blue face and what appear to be grey hands... Those appear to me that they would fit and provide a bit more contrast... I am very disappointed in Citizen customer service... It was easy for them to tell me "no" without apparently looking at options... Quite disappointed that Citizen Customer Care seemed to care less about my issue of not being able see the hands and could not consider an available solution...
Citizen Response
keeps resetting to a different Time, besides that when its not resetting it works great
Black band loses color very bad quality for so a perfect watch. Very disappointed.
I wore the previous model for 10 years. I loved it. I still do. I only bought a new one because the band broke on my old one. I was excited to see that you enlarged the glass area to now cover all of the outside numbers that were previously exposed to wear and tear and fading away. But, I have to be honest the new model hands are now white with a border of black. The previous model was white surrounded by chrome. With the new model, I really almost cant tell what time it is simply because youve made the hands harder to see, especially in low light situations. I struggle constantly to gain the basic info from the watch which is… what the time is, simply because youve made it harder to see it. Did I love my old watch? Yes. Do I love the new model? Sorry, no.
I have had this watch for over 6 months now, and love it’s functionality and time keeping, but honestly I can’t read the time without spending 25-30 seconds looking for the hands against the background of the face. Too thin and similar to the face. It needs more contrast for readability, then it would be perfect!
