I am from Australia and purchased this watch from Holland America line. This watch at over $600-00 US for me, was not a cheap purchase, due to the exchange rate. Keeps great time, and if you download the quick manual, is not too bad to navigate all the functions. This watch is particularly handy for someone who travels across country a lot, through different time zones. Very accurate it it's timekeeping. If you buy this particular model, the 150 then make sure you get a torch with the watch purchase. That is how bad the lumes are on this watch. I cannot understand Citizens thinking, on not having luminous markings around the dial. There are a lot of people out there that purchased this watch, love it, but are sorely disappointed with the way it can.t be read in the dark. I have never had a watch before, that is only for daytime use. Another thing is, If you live in America or Mexico, you get a 5+1 year warranty. I got none, even though I was told it was an International warranty. I took the onboard sales mans word for this . Silly me. Still a great watch, not brilliant , due to it's lack of Lumes.
Ive had mine for a year now and love this watch, i have the red discontinued model, i wish the wands would hold light linger, my only complaint.
Absolutely perfect. Watch came on time and is a big hit with the fellas.
I purchased this watch (Satellite Wave GPS Freedom Model (F150) in Red on the last day of my Caribbean vacation in June 2021. packed it away for the trip home and when i got home, proceeded to set the watch. Had to watch a 20 minute YouTube video to figure it out. Very complex! The biggest disappointment was that YOU CANNOT SEE THE WATCH IN THE DARK! Even in low light conditions, the hands/dial do not illuminate strongly enough to see the time. I have tried to "activate" the luminous hands with direct sunlight, a flashlight, ambient household light, etc., and it still is illegible. I called Citizen and was on hold for 45 minutes and ended up hanging up. I tried the customer support chat it they were not helpful. Basically said there is nothing they can do. They do not accept "returns" and I can't return it to the store I bought it at because they are out of the country! Looks like I am stuck with a VERY EXPENSIVE WATCH THAT I CAN'T USE IN THE DARK! Suggestion: Don't buy a watch like this without checking it out in the dark first.
Looks great on my wrist, it’s not heavy, and I love it!
This is a very classy looking and watch. The red accents on the dial and strap make this watch stand out, and the simple analog design gives it a classic look. One of the best features of this watch over other Citizen watches I have owned is the GPS time synchronization, which allows the watch to keep near perfect time on an ongoing basis. I have owned this watch for about one month now, and it still is accurate to the second. Setting the time and date, checking the charge level, and some other lesser functions are relatively straightforward, but one must read the detailed instructions to learn how to do these various tasks. The instructions initially appear to be somewhat complex, but the user manual is well organized and everything is well documented in the appropriate level of detail. However, the one thing I am disappointed in is the quality of the rubber strap which is subpar for a watch in this price range. I think it feels relatively cheap, and I would not expect it to wear well over time. In my opinion, a better option would be a black leather strap with red accents, or the black ion plated stainless steel bracelet that comes with this same watch with either the blue or green accents. I actually purchased the black ion plated stainless steel bracelet separately and had it put on the watch by a authorized Citizen jeweler. The watch now feels more solid and actually looks like a $750.00 watch.
Very disappointing. This watch does not show time in the evening/night time. There is no way to turn on back light or even watch hands don't show up properly.
NIce watch, but not easy to set. Setting it yourself is doable, but the easy pull the crown and wind will not work. Follow the steps and don't get creative.
Great watch. Cool design, red is bit hard to see in failing light. By still needing to manually move the watch to different timezones to reset it really isnt "automatic", Still a great watch.
I like the watch except the rubbber strap which feels a bit cheap for the price (hopefully this won't crack soon). Some info on the dial are not easy to read when setting this up (needed to use flashlight in my room). Overall I still like it, I like the design and the timezone. Hopefully this will last because this is my 1st Citizen watch added in my collection.
