The beauty of this watch that i would say, is that it took my interest on the 1st look. when i was getting the limited edition Lime green (CC7005-16E Eco-Drive) which was always interested in getting. black titanium is rare color to find in a watch. and the fact that its also satellite way makes it perfect and same features as the CC7005-16E Eco-Drive. in the end i ended up getting both lol.
Beautifully complex pilot’s tool watch that basically replicates the Skyhawk line, except with only one alarm and no digital display. The satellite syncing is nice and quick. The top button syncs current location/time zone and takes under a minute. If you know the time zone you’re going to, or are already there and have previously synced or moved the second hand manually to that location, all you need to do is press the lower button and the sync takes seconds. I have found that satellite syncing can be done INDOORS if near a window. My usual practice every day or two is to rest my arm on the ledge of my car door window while I’m at a stoplight and press the lower button. The “Time Sync” happens in seconds. My nits are few: first, I can’t figure out the “why” of the curious cutout pattern of the clear layer. As seen in photos, the lower edge cuts right across the subdial at six o’clock and definitely makes it difficult at times to read that dial. Next, the case and band of the watch are NOT black, despite how it appears in most photos, including mine attached. The color is a very dark brown, and appears so in all but ‘cool’ temperature lighting. I’m a professional artist, so I know color. The best way to describe it for those in the US is that it’s “Cleveland Browns” brown. Dark, and a tinge warm. The orange time zone markings further enhance this impression. I love the watch, but the hue bothered me so much that I almost sold it, but instead decided to try a leather strap for a bit of harmonious contrast. The pictured band is a cheaper strap I ordered to try out my theory, and I love it! I’ve since ordered a more expensive strap. Finally, it’s not a deal breaker, but look closely at your watch — the “anniversary caseback” markings are not ENGRAVED - it’s a (very high quality) decal! Yes, a decal. It’s such a good decal that it’s really hard to tell, and I don’t want to try and perk mine off, but I’d bet a cheeseburger that it’s a super-high-quality sticker. For this price I’d expect custom engraving! Hope it doesn’t fade with wear and age ... one star knocked off for this.
