I bought this watch as a gift for my wife. It has the style and features she wanted. The Eco Drive is a big plus.
I bought this watch around Christmas as a present to myself and I love it!
I bought this on September 18, 2016 and have now been wearing it nonstop for the past four months. Obviously, I am very satisfied with it. For reference, I am a 21 year old female college student. DURABILITY Since I've probably only removed it about 3-4 times, and then only to resynchronize, it has had to endure quite a lot. I bathe, exercise, sleep, and go on all manner of adventures with it on, and I'm sure I've scraped it against many walls and random sharp things. It has remained functioning perfectly, and I expect it to continue to do so for the next 6 or more years. The sapphire crystal is entirely unblemished, and the only signs of wear are slight scratching of the bezel and bracelet - unnoticeable except on very close examination. It is also important to note that the gold color is not plating or gild, which makes any scratches that occur much less noticible. The latch is secure and sturdy, and has never popped open of its own accord. It is also not complicated to open, as some watches are. ACCURACY I last synchronized my watch at the beginning of November (down to the second), and currently my time reads 9 seconds fast. You do also have to move the date forward a day or so after a shorter month, but when you pull the crown out two steps (as you must to set the date) the watch continues to click so my synchronization is not affected. This is a feature I appreciate a lot. The seconds hand is also nicely aligned with the dots, which I've found is important to some people. You have to take care when setting the watch for the minute hand to be nicely aligned. FEATURES When I got this watch I was changing from digital to analog, so I did find it somewhat lacking in features at first, such as month, day of the week, multiple time zones, etc.. I also really wanted a watch that was perpetual calendar so I wouldn't have to remember to move the date forward at the end of a short month. However, all of this is pretty much impossible to find in a women's watch, since these mechanisms take up space and can make a watch unattractively large (trust me, I tried a men's one and it looked ridiculous on me). So I decided to "settle" for this watch, which only had the day of the month. I have since found that I am more capable than I thought! I have learned to remember the day of the week without the aid of my watch, and once you've learned to pay attention it is really easy to move the watch forward a day when necessary. Don't let the absence of such features prevent you from getting this watch: it is easier to cope than you think! Plus this watch has other very nice features that more than make up for any other lacking. Eco-Drive is the best! The battery for my digital watches never lasted more than a year, and I rarely troubled myself to replace it, so this is really spectacular. Glow in the dark hands are visible even after 6+ hours in the dark. SUMMARY Pros: -Luminescent hand glow all night -Battery lasts forever -Setting the date doesn't mess up your synchronization -Sapphire crystal doesn't scratch -Silent -Very classy Cons: -Lacking some of my favorite features e.g. day of the week, perpetual calendar -Bezel and wristband not quite as scratch-resistant as the crystal
I bought my first eco-drive watch 15 years ago. It just recently stopped holding a charge although it's still trying. I figure if it lasted 15+ years another one would last just as long. Love the eco-drive and not having to change batteries or wind the watch.
