This is a beautiful timepiece in rose gold. It’s a medium-large watch with an rarely-seen black MOP (mother of pearl) face (not for the visually impaired) which looks dark brown to me & a minimally-domed, super clear sapphire crystal. The markers are 10 diamonds & 2 big, rose-gold Roman digits at 6/12. The face has a subtle wave or sunburst pattern: layered face-colored arcs in 12 sections issuing from the center & only visible in bright light. The leather band is a perfectly taupe color whereas other “beige” bands I have looked at were too white, creamy, or yellow. I was intrigued to discover the unique band is attached to a bracelet clasp so once sized to your wrist it stays adjusted & can be taken on & off quickly by pushing the 2-hinged clasp release. This has more flexibility in opening/closing the band than a more common one-hinged clasp; you can leave a side closed if you don’t need a larger opening to fit a small hand. The clasp & watchback are stainless steel silver & of course unseen when the watch is worn. The watch stem is unusually & subtly enlarged & flush with the watch case in the same rose gold. There is no second hand nor illumination which adds a serene stillness to this singular timepiece. I’ve never seen a watch like this & don’t expect to. It’s truly one-of-a-kind as most artistic works are. I got this watch half-price from Citizen.com in December when a male friend wanted me to have a nicer watch. After looking at many he paid for 4/5 of this one. That was surprising as originally he had said he didn’t intend to buy a diamond watch, but this one is not excessively decorated in diamonds. Many have them in abundance or countless crystals on the exterior face ring &/or band. Though pretty, probably impractical for me. This one is both. I’m happy/he’s pleased.
I wear this watch everyday to work and it goes with everything! Great style.
