Why is the roman numeral written wrong? There's never four of the same letter in roman numerals. Four is written as IV, never IIII.
Citizen ResponseThank you for your feedback. The use of the Roman numerals in this way is not incorrect. Watches use “IIII” instead of “IV” to maintain visual symmetry on the watch face. This creates a balanced appearance with four symbols on each side of the dial, mirroring the symbols on the opposite side where “VIII” is used for the number eight. This usage is aesthetically pleasing and has become a traditional practice in watchmaking. We hope this clarifies things!
