Great Everyday/Outdoor Watch

I consider the solar powered U822 Promaster to be an excellent purchase. The watch is obviously built for outdoor use - heavy, a wide rubber strap, very luminescent, and a chronograph among other features. However, be aware of several things. Setting the the digital time/date requires the use of the downloadable manual. Also, there is no atomic time or GPS-driven feature. Citizen, thank you for recogniziing the service of veterans with your military discount.

So far a horrible experience

The watch is near impossible to read in a being or low light. It is clunky and the plastic band sweaty. I am desperately trying to return and that is awful. Three days so far of we will contact you and nothing. Fill out form again rinse and repeat. Seems a delay tactic to slip out of the return window. All I want is an RMA and my money back.

LOVE IT

Not sure why this watch gets negative reviews (especially on YouTube). No, it’s not perfect, but what watch is. Sapphire crystal, solar powered, super light weight, multifunction, & sleek. A very simple watch with loads of features. Swapped the stock band for a nato strap. Super happy with it.

Traveler

This watch is great. Perfect for my travels. I travels overseas to Hong Kong, Tokyo and Germany as well. It’s got a nice weight to it for durability, let you know it’s there. I’m spend a lot of time outdoors and need a rugged watch for my travels.

Better than I thought

I thought it looked sharp online in the green. But I ordered the black/charcoal, and I like the color and the watch even better in person than what I saw online. This makes 4 Citizen watches in my fleet. Wish I had more wrists!

Simply the most perfect watch. The right amount of technology, luminescence, and the face size makes sense. It's hyper comfortable to wear., easy to understand, and above all easy to read. Well done, design team.

Promaster land u822

I purchased my promaster land u822 directly from citizen. It arrived promptly on 10/21/25. I Like its look and feel. The watch should be larger maybe 48mm to 50mm. After I received the watch I needed some assistance setting up the time and date. I placed a call to the help line. The person on the phone was very polite and guided me through the process. I was confused and very disappointed with the large set screw for time ,it really did nothing. It did back light the day and date. Maybe future versions of the line will address this issue. MW

Awesome Watch

I don’t have any complaints for this watch. I love the analog digital combination. It was fairly easy to set up and the analog display doesn’t bother me when using the digital display. It fits well. Plus it is solar powered. If I had one complaint, it would be the price but you get what you pay for and this watch has all the features I need in one.
