So far a horrible experience

The watch is near impossible to read in a being or low light. It is clunky and the plastic band sweaty. I am desperately trying to return and that is awful. Three days so far of we will contact you and nothing. Fill out form again rinse and repeat. Seems a delay tactic to slip out of the return window. All I want is an RMA and my money back.

disappointing flaw

I purchased the Citizen Promaster Land U822 because of its rugged design, hybrid analog-digital functionality, and Eco-Drive technology. On paper, it seemed like the perfect watch. In reality, one design flaw seriously affects its usability. The digital display is located near the top of the dial (around the 12 o’clock position), but it’s frequently blocked by the analog hands. Specifically, the display is partially or completely obstructed for about 5 to 6 hours per day, making it hard — if not impossible — to read. This happens twice a day, from 11 AM to 1 PM and again from 11 PM to 1 AM, as the hour hand passes through the display zone. On top of that, the minute hand enters that area every hour, further reducing visibility. For a watch that’s designed to offer the best of both analog and digital worlds, this is incredibly frustrating. The digital screen is useful (for the calendar, time, etc.), but it’s inaccessible during key times of the day when you might need a quick glance. Honestly, I expected more thoughtful design from Citizen, especially at this price point. A relocated display or even a “ghost hand” mode (like other watches have) would have solved the problem. Bottom line: Beautiful watch, solid technology, but a major ergonomic oversight. A shame.

Great Watch; Awful Instructions

Watch out if the box was impressive but set-up with downloaded instructions was terrible. YouTube videos got me through the basics. I expected better.

Excellent Design

Excellent piece all around except for sound. The alarm and countdown timer alarm tone is inaudible unless you take watch off wrist and hold the caseback against ear. Ridiculous deficiency on an excellent design.

Promaster Land U822

Why did my Promaster Land U822 Arrive with a Yellow ring around the center crown when all photos show it with red ring???? Would prefer red!

Cool but mind boggling misses

Another great Citizen watch. However, not displaying the chronograph digitally while running and not display seconds digitally (only minutes) while running countdown timer is a giant strange miss.

Promaster land u822

I purchased my promaster land u822 directly from citizen. It arrived promptly on 10/21/25. I Like its look and feel. The watch should be larger maybe 48mm to 50mm. After I received the watch I needed some assistance setting up the time and date. I placed a call to the help line. The person on the phone was very polite and guided me through the process. I was confused and very disappointed with the large set screw for time ,it really did nothing. It did back light the day and date. Maybe future versions of the line will address this issue. MW

If only…

Love this watch…Love that it’s solar, love the looks and especially love the MIP display. If only it could connect to the atomic clock transmitters it would be a perfect watch for me.

Nice looking watch

Have it a week and it’s a manly watch, bold and in your face. A bit of a learning curve on the functions. Hopefully it stands the test of time.
