This has been a great watch, I like how you can decide how you want to have the layout on your watch.
This is my second Citizen watch, and like the first, I think this one will work for me. The setup was fairly simple and I like the format of this "smart" watch. For a 75-year-old, even I was able to figure it out, and I HATE technology but wanted the pedometer function, and it works the way I want it to.
Mechanically and functionally my new CZ Smart Hybrid works fine. My issue is with the crystal - it scratches very easily. My watch is less than a week old, and l don't abuse it, but the crystal is scratched in a few places and the scratches can't be removed. What is the crystal made of, anyway?
I am very disappointed in this watch and will return it. It is also a fairly complicated watch and the on-line manual instructions do not match the actual way the watch is set up. The data displayed on the watch is too dim to read in all but the brightest light. It needs a lot of work to become a user-friendly watch. Sorry.
The watch stopped showing notifications three times to the point where the app had to be deleted and reloaded each time all within the first five days of ownership. Completely unacceptable. Additionally, the replacement bands say that they are 22mm, the lug width is actually 26mm. So third party bands won't fit. Looking to return it. I suggest you move past this one.
I am sorry but I didn’t find a single positive for the watch as to what it intends to do. The buttons keep getting pressed in normal wrist movements going into the app mode. The pointer lags behind the button push. The backlight is difficult to activate. The time zone says +- rather than actual city time. The only positive? Good battery life. When you have nothing worth in the watch that makes it stand out what is battery life gonna do. Returning this cheaply made watch.
The watch was somewhat difficult to pair with my phone. It appears that software for my Samsung watch conflicted with the pairing. I was able to pair the watch by temporarily disabling the other software. The watch works fine and has a different feel then the other watch. The Samsung watch does much more than the Citizen's The jury is out until I wear the watch and learn it's capabilities. I would reccomend this watch to one who has not had a smart watch before.
A great quality watch, being very user friendly and easy to use once you get acquainted with it functionality.
Absolutely love this watch! Glad I purchased every time look at it. I have large wrists but have never been a fan of huge watches. This is a perfect balance of size, height, weight etc. Looks significant but doesn't get snagged on stuff constantly or look ostentatious. Features are perfect for me. I like the balance of simplicity and yet it can still do what other smart watches do. I recently bought and returned an Amazfit Trex 2 because I was always fiddling with it and was never quite happy with it's setup. The Citizen has been good to go from the start. I didn't feel the need to mess with new watch faces or spend a bunch of time setting up apps I'll never use. Set it up, learn the interface over a few days and it'll be second nature in no time. It's getting alternated with a Garmin Instinct 2 Solar and I don't feel like I'm missing features. Built in Alexa is super useful for me. Not sure what other people's complaints are about the Citizen phone app, it works flawlessly and is easy to navigate. Lastly, battery life is much better than expected. Have had it for two weeks and haven't charged it yet. Never actually charged it either and I use it all day to quick read messages etc. All health tracking is on also. Build quality is top notch down to the band etc. Seriously if you're looking for a feature rich, simpler and more rugged smart watch... don't look anywhere else!
