I bought this watch in Janaury of this year and I was in love with style and how well it worked. In May the battery quit charging and I sent it in for service like I have done with my many Citizen watches. I get it sent back saying they no longer have parts and it isn't under warranty. I thought the warranty was everything for a year but boy was I wrong. This was my 4th Citizen watch and now I am shocked with how they walked away from this. They did give me something, a one time code for a discount that won't cover half the cost of a new one. Very disappointing and I don't recommend this watch, do to lack of replacement parts if something goes wrong.
Watch keeps disconnecting from app and not recording any I formation like steps and sleep. Also randomly the screen will go blank abd nave no display at all.
The watch is awesome other than the charging rings coming out. I have had the charging rings come off 3 times in under a year and having to send in for repair. If you sweat a lot the rings will get disconnected and no longer charge.
Watch disconnects constantly. Won't reconnect on its own, you have to go into your phone and use the stupid app. Dial isn't as customizable as you'd think. Low res screen is okay. Backlight is cheap and doesn't stay on long enough, doesn't like to activate (should have a button). Buttons feel cheap like they would break. Operating system lags. Luminous hands are pretty much invisible at night. Battery life is good, lasts over a week no problem. Crystal protrudes past the case, makes it vulnerable to scratches. Band is nice but needed a hammer to loosen pins for adjusting. Overall, if you want a smart watch buy a real smart watch. If you want a watch there are better looking, waterproof, luminous, longer battery life options.
The battery provides long hours of continues use. The watch Is not for everybody. a little bit complicated on set up. Nice looking watch.
Even though it is a very nice Citizen classic design, the options to customize the watch are limited. For instance, the second time zone, displays (-3Hs UTC) for a minute instead of the actual time for that city. So you have to wait or do the math yourself. Also, not possible to have another time zone. And limited to 4 “complications” at main watch face.
Very good looking, stylish hybrid smart watch. I bought one about 2 months ago, specifically because I wanted a smart watch with hands. I have vision issues which make it hard for me to read a digital display without glasses, but I can easily see a set of hands. Like a number of other reviews, I initially had problems with the watch dropping the phone connection. However, this stopped after just about a month. Now it only drops the connection if the phone is being charged. Otherwise, it picks it right back up. If you also connect to Google fit, you have 2 ways of looking at your data. I'm still trying to learn the CZ Smart YouQ app.
My son gave me this watch as a birthday gift and once I downloaded the Citizen Connected app, the My Citizen app, and the YF30 owner's manual (on my laptop so I could read it magnified), I got it figured out. The owner's manual is not real user friendly, but after being persistent, I finally figured it out. Another good feature of having a Citizen is the free band sizing...I have a real small wrist and after calling a local jewelry Citizen dealer, they said to bring it in for a free resizing. If you're looking for a smart watch that does all the stuff the Apple Smartwatch does, this watch is not for you, but it's beautiful and very stylish. I like the traditional look, and you can change watch faces to a variety of traditional, sports, workout, and non-traditional styles. It does do heart rate, step count, connects with Alexa and several other nice features.
Bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. Has worn for a whole week day and night and battery still holding.
