I bought this after looking at it for awhile, and loved the hybrid style. Unfortunately you get the worst of both world. Citizen has moved to their own OS which to say the least is buggy with a very limited feature set. Phone and watch would constantly disconnect, and trying to do anything in the app takes forever as you spend more time watching a circle spin than doing anything. Took over 30 minutes just to get my calendar setup on the watch due to app crashes and continually being stuck in a setup loop. Many things like Google wallet aren't supported on this watch so it's basically a glorified traditional watch with an LCD screen. Even basics like heart rate monitor seem to be way off as sitting down my heart rate would jump by over 100 bpm randomly when taking my pulse it was nowhere close to that. Their IBM powered separate app didn't even recognize my phone at first and I had to do a factory reset on the watch just to get that app to find my phone. Overall if you're buying this for looks its likely a watch for you. If you're buying this to have some smart watch features with a traditional watch style don't waste your money.
It looses connection often, and it's not very intuitive. But the functions are cool and it looks great.
Citizen is known for the nice, sleep, well built design. This way I does your basic smart watch functions. I would call it more of a dress watch but you also get some of your typical stats. I would stick with the Apple Watch over this if you’re more into all the health benefits. The citizen does have a long battery life which is a plus. I would recommend this watch to dress up your smart watch rotation if the Apple Watch is too bulky. Influenster sent this to me to give my honest review.
I’ve had my watch about a month now. I’ve enjoyed it a lot! It looks a lot more classy than a standard smartwatch. The watch face doesn’t look like a typical smartwatch face, but it works like one. I even like controlling it through the buttons. I’ve had plenty of times with my Fitbit where my hands are either wet or cold and the touchscreen won’t work. No such problem here. Even the app is better than I expected. On the downside, I have no idea where they got the 18 day battery life they advertise. I’m lucky to get 5 days. The main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the shortfall on battery life. Another improvement would be to add the capability to track the number of floors climbed. Overall, I really like the watch! I’d definitely buy again.
