Upgraded from the basic Skyhawk watch to this one. No comparison, this is in a league by itself. Automatically changes daylight savings time while you sleep. Sapphire crystal display is very tough and does not scratch. Expensive, but is so very worth it. Titanium is so light you forget you have it on, but very strong material. Great for pilots/aviation buffs. Can't recommend it enough. Shop around and you can get it for under $600 USD.
I bought the Blue Angels version about 4 years ago. It keeps perfect time. Once set, it has kept perfect time! I get admiring comments about it.
This is my Third Blue Angels Eco- Chronograph drive. I loved my first two immensely. They are very light and comfortable to wear. This new model has a redesigned band and face. The band is not as comfortable as the older design and it does annoy me to wear it all day. The other problem is the face of the watch looks almost black. Not as blue as the picture shows or like the other Blue Angel watches. As well, the printing on the face lacks enough color contrast which makes it look dull and hard to see. It saddens me to say that I most likely would not buy this watch again. I'm disappointed.
The Titanium model is just perfect! Love the fit! Love the look! It’s been a long term goal to get my Pilot’s License before I got the watch and now I’m happy I’ve finally got both!
The main reason I wanted to own this watch, is because as a young boy, I remember seeing the Blue Angels in my hometown of Erie, PA, and they fueled my dreams to not only become a pilot, but an Astronaut. Alas, 50 years later, and I'm neither, but my new watch makes me smile. I only have a couple problems with the watch...for one, it bothers me that I can't read the day/date for part of the day when the hands are covering that segment of the dial, not sure there's a remedy for that, the other, as a resident of the Bay Area and a baseball/football/basketball and hockey fan, I wish there was a Pacific Time Zone that said SFO instead of LAX! Hahaha!
its great watch but learned I could have paid a lot LESS if I bought the same piece from outlet 2 days later. it really mad me sad I could have saved over $150
Titanium makes this watch feel like a much smaller watch! Everything works and does what it is supposed to do.
Several years ago I purchased my first Citizen watch and II was so impressed that I sold my watch collection on Ebay . When I buy a new Citizen watch I trickle down to friends or relatives.
