Citizen's CZ Smartwatch comes with a great set of features that you'd expect to have on your wrist these days. It packs Google's Android-compatible Wear OS and offers rugged construction, but that also comes with bulk. If you love wearing sturdy timepieces on your wrist that do a lot more than just tell time, you'll probably love this watch.

----- SUMMARY ----- Verdict: The Citizen CZ Smart has a classy look with a sharp display and fast performance. It’s also high quality and comfortable to wear. The one problem is that the smartwatch market is crowded, and much of the competition has the same features and performance as the CZ Smart. I think the primary differentiating factor that the CZ Smart has is its design, which does have a lot going for it. There’s no doubt that the Citizen CZ Smart is a very good smartwatch, so if you are a fan of the design, it should be at the top of your list. Otherwise, there are others to consider, especially if you’re looking for more fitness features like automatic workout detection and the ability to take an ECG. Pros: - Quick and simple setup - Classy and elegant design - High quality - Sharp display - Easy navigation with the three buttons (one being a rotating crown) - Accurate workout tracking and heart rate results - Fast performance - Built-in speaker and mic produce good call quality - Battery lasts all day and charges quickly Cons: - No automatic workout detection - Cannot take an ECG ----- DETAILS ----- Setup: The setup process for the CZ Smart was quick and simple. The only requirements are attaching the magnetic charging cable to the watch and the other end to a USB charger, then walking through the on-screen instructions to pair it with your phone. The watch is compatible with iPhone or Android devices using the Wear OS app (free to download from the app store). I have an iPhone and it paired on the first try. I always appreciate an easy setup process without any issues, and Citizen delivered. Design: With its classy and elegant design, the CZ Smart looks much like other Citizen analog watches. Unsurprisingly, since the CZ Smart comes from a top analog watchmaker, the aesthetic doesn’t disappoint. When I was unboxing the CZ Smart, I quickly noticed that it looks and feels high quality. The case (46 mm) is stainless steel, and Gorilla Glass covers the screen. The included silicone strap (22 mm) feels durable and comfortable, even after all-day use. The strap is easily interchangeable, and additional straps can be purchased from Citizen. I’m excited to eventually try the other straps out. The 46 mm size of the watch is perfect for me, but it is on the larger side, so if you have smaller/thinner wrists, this watch might not be ideal for you. The larger size doesn’t seem to impact the thickness of the watch though because it’s impressively thin. Additional design aspects include a built-in speaker and microphone, which enable you to take phone calls, use Google Assistant, and more. Call quality, voice to text, and Google Assistant were all great. Overall, I am a fan of the CZ Smart watch’s design and wearing it has been very comfortable. Features & Performance: The CZ Smart has a 1.28” AMOLED touchscreen with a 416 x 416-pixel resolution and an always-on display. Whether it’s day or night, the screen is sharp and easily readable. On the right side, there are three buttons. The top and bottom buttons are defaulted to activate Google fit and the Citizen Watch Face app, but they’re customizable to your preference. The middle button, which also has a rotating crown, operates as the home and back button. Rotating the crown navigates through the interface, which is a nice feature. I am happy with the three-button and rotating crown combo because it makes controlling the watch easy. Some of the features I use daily include receiving notifications, using apps like calendar and weather, and also tracking workouts. The watch is quick and responsive, so the performance meets my expectations. Tracking workouts has been a good experience, and the results are comparable to another smartwatch I own. I wish there was automatic workout detection though. The heart rate sensor also seems to be consistent, but you cannot take an ECG like some other similarly priced smartwatches. If you’re looking for a fitness-focused smartwatch with the most sensors and features, then I wouldn’t recommend the CZ Smart, but otherwise, I’ve been impressed. Battery Life: Depending on what battery mode you choose, the battery life of the CZ Smart is generally about one to three days. An exception to this is the Time Only Mode, which just turns the smartwatch into a simple clock that lasts about a week. The other battery modes are Daily, Extended, and Custom. Since I charge the CZ Smart nightly, I usually have it on the Daily Mode which allows you to use all the features. Even with frequent use, the battery on Daily Mode consistently lasts the whole day. Extended Mode only uses essential features and usually extends the battery another day. Charging the watch is impressively quick. Just 45 minutes will charge the battery to 80%. A little over an hour will get it to 100%. The battery life is more than enough for my needs, and it’s nice to have fast charging. ----- WHAT’S IN THE BOX ----- 1 x Smartwatch Head/Case (46 mm) 1 x Silicone Strap (22 mm) 1 x USB Charging Cable 1 x Documentation

I'm not really a watch type person but this one has changed all of that. This watch isn't just stylish its my life line now . It is so easy to fiqure out how to set up everything. I would not like having to pull out my phone to know the weather or to get a message or a call . The speaker works so great . Calls incoming and outgoing are nice and clear. Music plays so well on it also . The bass in the songs sounds nice also and not distorted. Adding tiles to the watch is super easy and I can customize it just the way I want. I can also change the style of the homescreen and color . It came in a nice stylish box and was packaged nicely with a thick type foam to protect the faceplate of the watch and the band. Attaching the watch band was easy and took about two minutes or less. It isn't a heavy watch but it's built very well . Having the 8gb of memory is a nice feature. I won't have to worry about storage space for awhile . The touch sensitivity is awesome and isn't to touchy . The knows are easy to turn. When I get a message I can hear the notification sound loud and clear and I don't miss any calls like I would with my phone. I absolutely love this watch.

I won't have to worry about storage space for awhile . The touch sensitivity is awesome and isn't to touchy . The knows are easy to turn. When I get a message I can hear the notification sound loud and clear and I don't miss any calls like I would with my phone. I absolutely love this watch.
For the Citizen CZ Smart WearOS, out of the box, you need to install the watch bands yourself. That’s something I didn’t expect, but it’s easy to do. The watch face is large, but a normal size for a watch. The thickness is also pretty normal compared to a regular non-smart watch. I think the crown, and watch case look nice. It looks like a normal watch and doesn’t stick out, which I like. After turning the watch on, there is a setup process, like installing the app on your phone, signing in to your account, accepting terms of service, and allowing multiple permissions to let it collect your data and use info from your phone. It’s quite a lot of taps, swipes, and screens to go through. I think the process could be streamlined, but thankfully, you only need to do it once when setting up the watch. The most useful parts I find are the fitness related features. By default it shows your number of steps taken, steps progress for the day, and last measured heart rate. Though, the steps count doesn’t always seem accurate. It also can track your sleep. You can start a workout and it will tell you various health related measurements and stats that happened during the workout. Another small thing I like is that it can switch between showing an extra time zone easily. It’s useful when traveling. Overall, if you’re looking for a WearOS watch that looks like a classic wristwatch instead of high-tech gizmo, I think the CZ Smart WearOS is a good choice.

It has a very bad connection with my iphone, it disconnects easily and you have to reset it to connect again, the option to answer calls does not always work, the battery does not last the 24 hours that they announce in the description. the price is very high for the simplicity of the watch, 20 years ago I use Citizen I never thought that I would be so disappointed with this watch
I bought this less then a month ago and battery life is horrible. Great features but battery just doesn't make it.
the watch does look good but it doesn't function as well as my samsung watch at all. It is kind of a hassle to operate and it doesn't perform like a "smart" watch at all. Personally, I won't recommend at all.

Battery does not last long, I thought it was going to be a product according to citizen standards but it wasn’t
This product is nice but after I purchased the smart watch I learned that this is the same watch that fossil has for double the price. I bought the watch thinking it was a Citizen original. Research before buying.
Battery doesn’t last even 24 hrs. Can’t answer texts or phone calls. Nice look
Citizen Response Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the battery on your CZ Smart smartwatch doesn’t last. Try using our Battery Optimizer App which will allow you to manually turn certain features on and off to extend the battery life. Regarding answering texts or phone calls, CZ Smart does both and was designed to be compatible with both iPhone and Android phones. We would like to help troubleshoot the issues you are having and will reach out to you through email to learn more.
I loge the watch but the Bluetooth disconnects every hour or so.
Citizen Response Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you love your new CZ Smart watch! The design was inspired by Citizen’s sport technical timepieces for style and function. If you are experiencing disconnectivity issues, it may be because your CZ Smart and your smartphone were too far apart for a period of time. If it's another issue, we are happy to help troubleshoot. Please look out for an email from us.
First impressions: battery life severely lacking, wish the face would just dim and not change to a simpler face when trying to save battery life. A little cumbersome to navigate compared to Apple Watch. Like the look overall. Acclimating to functions. Biggest two issues are battery and screen change.
