An Impressive Watch That Stands the Test of Time

The Citizen Eco Drive Promaster Navihawk is one of those rare watches that manages to feel both rugged and refined at the same time. From the moment you put it on, it gives off an unmistakable sense of purpose—this is a timepiece built for people who actually use their watches, not just wear them. What impressed me most is the Eco Drive technology. Knowing it’s powered by light and never needs a battery change makes the whole experience feel effortless. It’s the kind of reliability you don’t appreciate until you’ve lived with it for a while, and then you wonder how you ever tolerated anything else. Functionally, the Navihawk is a powerhouse. The multi time zone capability is incredibly intuitive once you get the hang of it, and the radio-controlled accuracy means it’s always spot on without any fiddling. The dial is busy in the best possible way—packed with information but thoughtfully laid out so everything has its place. On the wrist, it feels solid without being bulky. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Citizen: durable, precise, and clearly made to last. It’s a watch that can handle daily wear, travel, and adventure while still looking sharp enough for a night out. If you want a watch that blends advanced tech, bold design, and true everyday practicality, the Navihawk is an easy recommendation. It’s a reliable companion that quietly does everything you need and then some.

Citizen watch purchase

I purchased a Promaster Navihawk watch directly from Citizen on-line. The watch arrived very quickly and was securely packaged. I am very pleased with the watch, it is striking. This now makes my fifth Citizen watch purchase is less than a year. I am looking forward to my next one!

Review of Promaster Navihawk AT8220-55W

I bought this watch in late March of 2027, direct from the Canadian distributor. As an older guy with larger hands and smaller wrists, I find it can be challenging to get the bracelet over my hand, since the bracelet is not equipped with a double-hasp. I certainly like the look of this watch, and I find that it wears slightly smaller than the 48mm would suggest - great for a man with smaller wrists. I did notice that there is misalignment between the facepiece and bezel markings. I own watches costing 10-12 times the cost of this watch as well as those costing 1/10th of it, and none of those have this problem, and frankly nor should this watch. Other than that issue - and it should not be one for a watch at this price point, I would unreservedly recommend it. Citizen, if you're reading this review, please pass on my comments to your Q/A department, as this watch should not have this issue.
