Luminary
The Citizen BN1025-08L is an inspiring dive watch. There is a satisfying heft to the watch without it feeling bulky. The bezel has fantastic grip and rotates in one direction with minimal back-play. The face of the watch catches the light to capture a subtle shift of colors from aqua to blackish-blue. It might have been nice if the blue metal ring had the same treatment as the dial of the watch, but the variation of green lume for the hour pips and bluish lume for the numbers and hash marks on the metal ring is stunning. The stainless steel is more prone to scratches than the titanium of my Citizen BN0220-16E, but it's a sturdy, handsome watch and the sapphire crystal will likely keep the dial and hands clearly visible and usable for years to come. The watch looks great in or out of water.
