I’ve owned several watches close to this price range but have never gotten as many compliments as I do with this. Beautiful durable affordable. Couldn’t ask for more.
This watch has traveled all over South America, Europe and Mexico with me. The time keeping is more precise than any other time piece I own. It has stayed on time to the second with years of use, even without connecting to the satellites. The radio controlles function is easy to use and something that became very handy while riding trains across Europe. The crystal is surprisingly nice, seems to hold up as well as any Sapphire crystal. I prefer this watch over those I own that cost more than 10 times the price. I hope citizen releases this model again but in black ion plated titanium with different color options like a mix of green, white and grey. There isn't a better watch under $1,000 that exsists in this world.
I got this for Christmas from my loving wife. I had mentioned that I liked the look of this watch in October and she remembered. Lucky for me. Love the watch. Its my 6th Citizen and they are all excellent timepieces. This is my 3rd A-T watch and the great thing about these watches is that when the timezone is set, there nothing else to do about them. The A-T function keeps the watches to within 15 seconds a month and the same function keeps the perpetual date function accurate. Because this watch has a LED display (which is neat) the battery tends to drain a tad quicker if you use it more frequently. I have a separate LED light charger for all of my citizen watches that works quickly to recharge them. I Have jewelers tools and I'm able to size my bands myself. This band was a bit trickier than the metal link bands. You need to cut the band to the next smaller link so its a custom fit. There's no going back once cut. Its super light looks like an expensive watch which it is and it keeps time. What more is there to say.
I had a Citizen watch in years past and was dumbfounded at its accuracy. For me a watch does not necessarily need to be beautiful, but it does have to be accurate. That for me is its primary function. Citizen proved to be such a watch. Unfortunately in hard times, I had to pawn my own Citizen watch a few years ago, but always said i would get another one some day. The day had come and was able to purchase this watch without hesitation, for years I always was researching the latest and greatest of watches. Citizen was always sowing up at the top of my list. So when I was finally able to find a place that sells them, they had the one that I focused on all these years. It was the Promaster Hawk A-T. To say I was disappointed, you are asking the wrong person. This watch I totally love. I delivers on everything that a time-piece expects. I am all for what a watch is primarily build to do: Accuracy. I have had this watch since April 2018 and it is now July. It is not even off by a 1/10th of a second . I had to do nothing to correct its time what so ever. That sold me and knowing the price I paid for it was worth every penny. Note: I was caught in a rain storm for 45 minutes yesterday and the watch got totally soaked. Was worried but it did not phase the watch what so ever. It is far beyond what I expected and it performs wonderfully. The only drawback I would say is that everything is so small and hard to read, but when you pack so much things into it,that is to be expected, plus at 55 my eyesight is not as good as it use to be. So I was expecting that - no fault to Citizen, but to my failing eyesight. Love this watch and knowing that if in the possible future if things get financially bad, I will never ever part with this watch. I officially made it a family heirloom.
